Rouse’s will have all the items you mentioned. It’s an interesting walk, too.

You should be fine. The Morganza Spillway is no longer scheduled to be opened

Thank you, Ine.

It took almost a week, but here is the reply that I received:
Thank you for contacting us.
You may, with wheelchair, large luggage and for other reasons enter trough the middle door. Though we put the responsibility of decision to the driver in this case, he or her may want you to enter in the front. However you will need to go to the front and validate your ticket if the reason is luggage.
Kind regards,
Joakim

Our tour company gave instructions that tips were accepted in Rubles, US Dollars and Euros. We used $$$ and had envelopes made up for tips ahead of time.
Appreciate this information. Was prepared to go to ATM.

Adding to the suggestions by Brian1: do not forget to see the Rock Church and the Railway station if interested in architecture.
Excellent suggestion.

Here is the most useful information for the 2019 season.
Pier Information
For pier location use this page, its updated closer to arrival with exact pier number and terminal.

Nordre Toldbod is better reached by Taxi but bus 1A stops at Esplanaden (Grønningen) when travelling from downtown and when going to downtown its the bus stop called Esplanaden (Store Kongensgade)
Langeliniekaj is served by bus 26 from the Indiakaj bus stop at the bottom of the pier
Oceankaj is served by both bus 25 and 27 stopping at the Oceankaj bus stop next to Terminal 1, they are both running from Østerport station (25 also from Nørreport)
look at www.journeyplanner.dk for schedules.
Single ticket (2 zones) to the downtown area is 24 kroner,
Single ticket to the airport (3 zones) is 36 Kroner.
Or if you want a citypass ticket you can order it on your phone and have it ready when leaving the ship.

And at last, a useful link if you don´t want to handle your luggage to and from the airport you can let these guys do it.
Its very useful if you have a late flight out of Copenhagen and wants to do some sightseeing before heading home.
Thats it, just ask away.
Excellent information. Glad to find this thread.

Thanks, too, for the card information.

We have sailed with both Silver Sea and Crystal and have enjoyed them both. Crystal ocean going ships are larger, which is nice if you have lots of sea days.

Haggle and be prepared to walk away.

We stayed at the Star the night before an early flight. It’s a five minute walk to airport, slight incline. Clean, filled with travelers flying in and out.
-
We found all cable car tickets booked. There were several large ships in port as well. We opted for a taxi tour ( not pre booked) with 2 other couples. We set out early and were quite happy with choice. Cooler, less crowed and more freedom to explore.
-
Print copies of each ticket.

We were in Copenhagen last month, and had dinner at Karla, a small restaurant close to Tivoli. Reasonable prices, very good food. You might want to get a reservation as it is quite small.
We’re trying this one.

We’re using Best Gudes and tailoring our visit to our interests and trying to avoid duplications. Some great suggestions found on this thread.

Thanks for the good tip.

We are a private tour, and have inquired at several agencies. We have have booked with one because they suggested the itinerary that was most similar to our “ideal” visit. I’m contacting them now to ask for changes/substitutions. Thanks for your suggestion.

We were happy with Holland America Line's newest ships for 55+ cruising. The prices were reasonable and accommodations & food were excellent. The staff was very friendly, professional and the spectacular ports were not crowded. It was a quiet, peaceful cruise during the day without a lot of poolside music, drinking and dancing. If napping, reading, or playing games is your cup of tea during the day, you may love HAL. The evening entertainment consisted of the Lincoln Center Musicians from Milan playing classical music and a dueling piano bar that played Billboard hits through the ages. There were demonstrations from America's Test Kitchen, afternoon tea, and evening shows. I hope you'll find cruising HAL as rewarding as we have.
Appreciate your insight!

I know that. I was comparing the excursion being offered for a concert at the Hermitage with the excursion I took several years ago for a concert at Catherine's palace. Given the OP's later description, they sound even more similar....
Also, I was adding to JB's response that it's not 'just' about the concert but also a chance to look around without the normal daytime crowds. Applies as well to the Hermitage.
OP: If you are on a true private tour (e.g., not one of the set 'small group' tours), you can ask to switch the itinerary to not include the Hermitage and do something else instead -- there are plenty of options in St. Petersburg.
Thank you for that suggestion. It seems every tour offers same itinerary, even private tours.

We travel internationally about twice a year, nationally about 10 times per year. We used CLEAR on a free promo. The only benefit we saw was in very busy airports [ATL] you went to the front of the TSA PreCheck line. We thought it was too expensive since we live in CLE and the precheck line is never that busy.
As for Global Entry, I doubt that I'd want to pay for it, given that we enrolled in Mobile Passport [app] and cleared customs without paperwork in Newark in about 2 minutes flat.
We love having TSA PreCheck. It suits us perfectly.

If you travel fairly frequently internationally, Global Entry is well worth the investment.
