  1. I agree with the nickle and diming of amenities Celebrity continues to do especially for those of us that book Aqua. I have 3 more scheduled this year and will be hard pressed to schedule more in Aqua. Most of our cruises are without the beverage pkg. and we do use the gym frequently using bottled water. We always take bottled water on our tours. My issue is about principle. My wife and I were on the first cruise in Dec. when we found out about no more water bottles after the first day. We did complain to appropriate Officers and on the comment survey. I don't expect change back to getting the bottles. I have already booked one cruise not using celebrity. This is a change for us since we are E Plus. We just will weigh our options in any future bookings.

  2. My wife and I just completed a Panama Canal /South America cruise on Celebrity. Cruise, Canal and ports were fantastic. Colon tour we took was great and part of it was the view standing on the lock deck watching two freighters going through in opposite directions. Can't speak about Princess Cruises but would guess they are similar. One Princess ship followed us through the locks and we both completed the cruise in Valparaiso, Chile.

  3. My wife and I were very dissapointed with the elimination of bottled water on our recent cruise in Aqua. This follows other cuts including eggs benedict in blu etc. I did explain politely our dissatisfaction with the Hotel and HR directors. We have 3 cruises booked in Aqua next year that were prior to some of these changes. For the first time in many years, we booked a cruise with another cruise line. We can't justify the much higher prices for Aqua with continued cuts in amenities. I know for some of you it doesn't matter what Celebrity does. For us it does matter. Even spending the higher cost for Aqua, we still watch our nickels and dimes.

  4. I agree with you. If someone doesn't like a product, switch to a different product and get on with your life. I'm not sure what people hope to accomplish by complaining on an Internet forum.

You know what I enjoy most about those who disagree with someones opinion, they bash them as negative with their position being the answer. People who pay their hard earned money for a product should be able to say what they like or dislike as a matter of opinion. I think many cruisers in the

aqua class are dissatisfied with the direction Celebrity is taking cutting product or service. We know we have alternatives and can take our business elsewhere. I believe we should productively let Celebrity Executives know what concerns us. They are in business

to make money. Most customers want to save money, me included. Most Aqua class people I spoke with on the cruise just completed were surprised and angered about the water bottle issue. It made no difference to some whether they had the beverage package or not.

  5. Is it on your invoice of included amenities? If it is then you should still get it!

My wife and I just completed a cruise in Aqua class. Still not home. We were very surprised as well as most Aqua Class cruisers about the elimination of bottled water. To most people, it made no difference whether they had the beverage package or not, the were mad. I complained directly to two senior Officers on board. Celebrity is in the business to make money and keep the Royal Caribbean shareholders and Executives / board members happy. All the little cuts add up for the average cruiser. My wife and I already had 3 more Aqua bookings in the future not aware of this new policy. I know some of you could care less, but I believe most of us are not happy with the direction Celebrity's continued cuts have on our cruise experience. You should let Celebrity Executives know how you as a customer feel. Im not for bashing anyone. Constructively let them know you and many other customers are dissatisfied.

  7. Still sailing now. Very dissapointed about the elimination of water. With the continued increase in Cruise pricing, we have seen a great number of nickle and dime cuts in Aqua that many people we spoke with are very dissatisfied. My wife and I already have cruises in Aqua booked next year. I voiced my displeasure to several officers. We love blue but will now really analyze choices of cabins and cruise lines.

  8. I am in the habit of checking my bill on the ship often as well. We had several additional charges for internet usage (on our recent NZ /Australian cruise) even though we had minutes still left on our account. They reversed the charges under what they called technical glitches. I've had this kind of thing happen many times on our cruises not just with celebrity. A little inconvience but they always took care of it.

  9. I'm sailing on the Millennium from Seward to Vancouver in September 2014.

Would it be advantageous (I'm sure it would be) to stay for 3 or 4 days to see some of the sights in Anchorage or surrounding area before traveling to Seward? Any suggestions on tours or where to stay in Anchorage since this will be our first trip to Alaska.

    Thanks Guy
