Old folks like us don't count anymore in today's society that walks around with their heads down on some gadget or another "communicating".
Did I say " communicating''??
HA !
Addendum:
After the recent CC maintenance (or any maintenance for that matter), we would expect as a courteous gesture from CC, informing their members that certain features i.e. Internet Explorer would no longer work.
Many of us were left hanging wondering what happened which could have been easily avoided if only CC had " communicated" with their members.
Thank you.

1. Since yesterday morning ( after the maintenance at CC ) we can no longer access CC through Internet Explorer.
2. Repeated e-mails to CC asking for their help have been met with silence thus far.
3. Why is it that almost every time there's a CC maintenance there are inevitable new issues that CC fails or doesn't want to explain to their members?
4. We are very disappointed in Cruise Critic.

Thank you for your reply broberts . I have e-mailed the help desk at CC - but haven't heard back yet.
Sigh...oh well

Can anyone please help me with the new CC format? I am old and not up on the latest gadgets and I used to use Internet explorer to go to my CC site. Now I can't anymore except I can go to Chrome instead but I have made so many tries I lost count of what I did.
How do I get to the CC team by e-mail?

I hope that my post may help others like me who are hopeless when it comes to computers etc. but here's my problem....
As of this morning (after CC's maintenance ) I cannot post /access CC Floataway Lounge when I use my trusted Internet Explorer but is working (albeit in a different format) on Google Chrome.
Am I doing something wrong?

Much ado about so 'little'

The Windjammer dinner selections are often more varied when compared to the dinner selections in the MDR. For a leisure lunch and/or dinner we prefer the Windjammer.

We are getting the hang of it but.....after many "waves" the new and improved CC reminds us of our very first cruise when we had no clue who, what, when, where, why and how.....
-
Just tell your friend you don't care what he or she says about cruise line X Y Z and if they truly care...... tell him/her to pay for your next cruise (including airfare and gratuities) and spending money for the casino, specialty restaurants, shore excursions etc. Oh, and remind him or her you want a penthouse suite.

While some itineraries can be island/ports repetitive, it's always a good feeling to be back on ''terra firma''.

Initially, we were not impressed with the new CC format and since we only post and/or reply to posts we may have been a tad too harsh in our initial evaluation/comments to the CC IT Dept. (Sorry....CC IT team!)
Thank you for all your hard work.

What CC IT people may have overlooked is that many CC users are seniors and perhaps not as computer savvy. We are trying to make the best of it but it hasn't been easy and/or pleasant so far.

We have given up on trying to understand the new CC format but we won't give up on cruising.

Thank you but there's nothing to "expand" as far as I can see.
I'll try again later but thank you for helping me with this.
-
Thank you but how do I "expand" ? I
I use a laptop.
Thank you in advance

I don't mean to hijack a thread but how do I show our ''signature'' i.e. ships sailed etc.?
Thank you for your help.

We did a B2B Mediterranean cruise ( 14 days & 2 different itineraries) and we highly recommend it.

Going back a few years, we always found the Windjammer's selections for breakfast/lunch/dinner to be quite extensive and very appetizing. Depending on the time of the day we usually found a nicely located table without too long of a wait if at all.

Thank you angeleyez915, thank you for your down to earth and realistic post.
Thank you!

How do you know what she wants? Maybe she has compliments to spread.
This was our experience. ;)
One does receive a reply if not from Mr. Bailey personally but from his assistant. We had an issue (after a cruise) and we detailed our concerns in a polite e-mail and we received a courteous response within a matter of days addressing and rectifying our concerns.

We are ex-smokers ( finally ! ) but we were always considerate of others who did not enjoy being exposed to our cigarette/cigar/pipe smoke. It was simple a matter of good manners and consideration for others. That's all.

I keep a journal of every activity on every cruise including people we meet and get to know on the ship.
Wonderful !
We are still in close contact with some people we met on a cruise from 1996.

On behalf of my family and friends ( who are also CC members) I want to thank you for your kind reply and understanding of our collective concerns.
