Thank-you all for the great reviews.
AF-1, did you like your suite, or did you miss your balcony?
I'll be boarding the Grand soon.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your review. You have a wonderful writing style, keeps me waiting for the next entry, and I loved the photos. I also love taking photos of my travels. I consider them my souvenirs, and enjoy revisiting my travels when I see them.
Sending the best of wishes to you and your family.
I will look forward to joining you on your next virtual cruise. 🚢

Great to hear you had a wonderful cruise! I'm oh, so jealous.
While you were gone, I read azbirdmom's review of her Alaska Cruise.
So happy she had such a good time. I'm anxious to get back aboard.
Fingers-crossed our October and December cruises out of So. Cal are a go.

Congratulations on the results of your eye tests!!!
I'm still tagging along, reliving this cruise we did on the Ruby a few years ago.
Brings back lovely cruising memories. 🚤🌴

Thomas is such a beautiful boy! Congratulations, again...
DH and I are two weeks out from our 2nd Moderna dose, and are chomping at the bit to go out and cruise and travel. No news on when the West Coast cruises will resume. Hopefully before years end.

Dear Ellie,
My best to you for your husband's recovery. The stress in these times takes a toll on our well-being.
Please rest and stay safe.
I needed to comment on your Snowman cake. I absolutely love the movie and cry at the ending every time. I so wish the Snowman merchandise was still available here in the States. I have a mug and the plush Snowman from many years ago. Christmas isn't the same without playing the DVD movie. I especially love the soundtrack.
I look forward to more of this cruise. I'm reliving the cruise we've taken to Hawaii.

We've also sail out of WCC many times. I remember attending a Bon Voyage Sail Away Party aboard the original Love Boat, the Pacific Princess. We were invited onboard to wish my friend Bon Voyage.
So much fun and excitement. That was about 35 years ago. Where has the time gone? 🤥 Times have certainly changed since then.

Very impressed with your DH surf style, and you are quite the Beach Bunny! 😉
Being born and raised in Southern California, I love our coastal cities.
Some day, you will have to drive the coast to Big Sur, it's fantastic!!!
Princess does a Coastal Cruise which visits San Francisco, Santa Barbara and Monterey.
We've done that twice and would do it again once things get back to normal.
Enjoying your trip and looking forward to visiting the islands. 🌴

Dear Ellie, I just finished the virtual cruise to Fiji. What a wonderful trip, and you are such a gifted writer and photographer.
I'm looking forward to the Hawaii cruise. We've sailed on the Ruby there twice and look forward to sailing again with you. Our bags are packed and I can hear the ukuleles and feel the warm tradewinds,

Cruised January 3 - 13, 2020 on Star Princess to Sea of Cortez. Have done this cruise before. Great itinerary: Cabo San Lucas overnight, La Paz, Loreto and Puerto Vallarta. As always with Princess, too short time in La Paz, Loreto and Puerto Vallarta. We had issues with the cabin. It was an obstructed OV, although not too obstructed. It's between 2 tenders. The problem is that every night after 11pm, it's noisy with loud banging outside. Make sure you mention to the front desk. We did, and I was surprised to receive an OBC "for the inconvenience." They obviously know of the problem. Also, our cabin was flooded from the bathroom. We were told it was potable water. We were relocated to a small inside cabin. They suctioned water and dried carpet. we were out 2 days and 1 night. The rest of the cruise went smoothly.

Thank-you HBC for the extensive notes. We just got back from our 4/13 - 4/20 cruise. It was great and the ship is beautiful. It is very large and the floor plan seemed confusing at times. We liked the use of the medallion. It made boarding a breeze. It took some time to get the hang of all the apps, but they were very useful. Having the Patter events on your phone is very handy. you can even order drinks and they'd be delivered to you. The screens located around the ship displayed Patter events and you could have it show you how to get to where you wanted to go. It would display the time to reboard the ship once in port. The room tv had many movie, show and travel programs. If you missed a talk, it would broadcast the next day. The weather and ship's location is on the applications channel. There's also a sleep channel with soothing ocean background sounds. The balconies vary in size. I personally prefer the Caribe balconies on the Ruby. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed our stay on the Royal.

We really enjoyed your posts. We felt like stowaways with you. 😄
Thanks for taking so much time to share your experiences. We're so excited to get onboard tomorrow!🚢

Have you noticed if they are serving Fish and Chips lunch? This was done on "at sea" days on the Ruby's Mexican Riviera trips. Usually mentioned in the patter and served in the Crown Grill.
Enjoy the warm weather and the rest of your cruise. 🌞

Have been enjoying the thread. We leave on the 13th when you get back. Have you heard the Mariachi group? I saw your patter mentioned Los Brilllantes. They were on the Ruby, which we sailed 3 times to Mexico. They were great.
Have a great time, we can't wait to get aboard. 🥂

Looks like beautiful weather last 2 ports.
Was there a shuttle available in Santa Barbara for cruise passengers?
If so, please give details.
We'll be visiting Santa Barbara next week aboard the Discovery Princess.
Thanks, enjoy your cruise.
