Been there and done that. Would highly recommend the cruise after, a few reasons (more relaxing, easier to go on the southbound cruise as it lets off either Vancouver, or Victoria, making catching a flight home much easier).

DW and I took the 1 week Guided tour offered by Princess (called the Connoisseur). Started in Fairbanks, worked it way down to Anchorage, AMAF, train dropped us off right at boarding gantry. Disembarked in Vancouver, switched ships, then down to LA.

One of the best cruies we have taken.

LOL....American was actually bought by US Air. American was on the verge of bk.

As mentioned in one of my previous posts,

Was lucky to score FTTF for my 3/12/16 cruise on Miracle.

Not sure when it opened up. It was more by chance/luck as I was checking some shore excursions and saw it opened 258 days out.

Not sure of when they open the FTTF.

I scored mine yesterday (Sunday) 258 days out from my 3/12/16 cruise on Miracle.

Also, as I had paid in full already, luggage tags have FTTF imprinted on them.

First cruise was back in 1990 on the old Dawn Princess (RMS Sylvania, Fairwind) Great ship esp with the entire crew being Italian.

Still the best cruise I ever went on (could it be due to the fact that they upgraded me to Owners suite from balcony??:confused::D).
