  1. We did it last February.   The only Patter’s notifications was for the sign up which happens in one of the bars during the afternoon a few days before.  I think it was at Crooners.  When you sign up ($5 fee) they give you your ticket, location and time slot.   Ask the entertainment staff. They can advise what day to expect to see the notice in the Patter

I'll have more later but I figured I'd post this now along with a screenshot of the Internet Upgrade packages that are offered for those of us with the 250 min loyalty package:

The upgrade prices aren't spectacular and I opted for the extra 200 mins and will leave it at that.

Thanks so much for posting this.  It looks like the plans are a tiny bit cheaper than if you purchase them ahead of time.  I’m disappointed with the discount. I might go with the free minutes too.

I can't provide any meaningful feedback on this itinerary yet. However, I'm leaving for L.A. this Thursday to board the Emerald for the L.A. to Hawaii trip and will likely post a "Live from..." thread here in order to answer any questions that people may have (although I warn you all that I'm pretty low key when I go on vacation so don't expect any sort of adventures like Pescado Amarillo or TracyABD post about).

Can you please do a screen shot or provide information on the pricing  offered to platinum /elite for unlimited internet packages instead of the free minutes?  I’m on the same cruise later this winter and I’d like to get an answer ahead of time.  Thanks!

  4. I know you could use punches for gelato in the past. It appears the coffee cards expire. I don’t think I would use all the punches for specialty coffee on one cruise. It would be nice to get some gelato too. I might have to rethink the coffee card purchase. We sail the Royal next month.

  5. Can you order cappuccino from room service in the morning or do I have to get dressed, go down to the IC and bring some back to the cabin?

I’m wondering if I can just write it in on the room service card and hang it on the door.

  6. We called both Princess and our TA and DID NOT receive any OBC. Any insight, examples or assistance in working this out is appreciated

    Cheers

Our email came after our final payment was made. I told them I was disappointed that we would not experience the advertised ocean medallion cruise, and said this was the reason we picked this cruise. An OBC wasn’t offered but I asked for compensation.

  7. We are 65 days out and received the email last night. I called Princess to complain and was told because ours was an agent booking, our TA would have to call to negotiate any compensation. A half hour after emailing our TA, She got us $100 OBC each.

I questioned if the medallion internet would be available on the cruise as the upgrade would have been done while the ship was in dry dock. The princess agent told me no.

  8. I am Canadian and I had some money left over on my account. I read that I would get a cheque in the mail within 4-6 weeks. At the 6 week mark I gave princess a call. Yes, there was a balance on my account. She could issue a cheque that would take 4-6 weeks to receive. I thought it was automatic!

She said that she could see I had another cruise booked in February. If I wanted , instead of a cheque, she could apply it to my OB account. She bumped up the amount owing and I agreed. I see it on my account as a guest relations credit.
