  1. Just back off the Breeze, first cruise since Covid. Fun times, No masking. Felt pretty normal, however, As a Platinum Carnival cruiser, I was very disappointed that there were ZERO Platinum perks. No Pin, no gift, No Brunch cocktail, no In room treat. Nada. Yes we got Priorty boarding. I have been Platinum for a while, but this was my wife's first cruise as a Platinum guest. I guess things have changed.

  2. Love a lanyard. not to wear around my neck but to have something bright and colorful attached so that FINDING the card in the room is easy. Plus it's easier to carry around and harder to lose if something is attached. hangs nicely on the hat rack, I would say don't wear it around your neck if it's your first cruise, that's a rookie mistake. "look at me I'm a newbie!!!!" Likewise, Platinum and Diamond cruisers are just showing off. Some veteran cruisers have cried foul to me when I point out wearing first cruise sign and sail cards around the neck is hilarious.Of course they are welcome too.

Just off the Carnival Vista. Chankanaab Park Cozumel is great place to go. Carnival offers an excursion there, or you can go on your own. Snorkel, swim or just enjoy a cocktail on the beach. I wanted to shoot a video there the last 3 or 4 times I was there, but the weather didn't cooperate. This time it was perfect!

  4. OMG Houston, we have a winner! Carnival needs to give you a big fat discount on your next cruise for posting this beautiful commercial! Love the steel drum music, and super jelly that you are right there where you can cruise any time!

Thanks....22 Carnival cruises all out of Galveston...45 minutes from the house!

  5. This was mentioned once or twice before, but may have gotten “lost” here. I would suggest purchasing “cruising the vineyards”, which can be done along with bringing two bottles on board. The pricing seems a bit more reasonable to me, still quite high, but better.

Thanks for bringing it back to the original post. I was getting tired of all the lecturing about rule breaking, smuggling, ruining the vacation etc. I was just pointing out that we like to pre-purchase some wine and liquor (at the ridiculous prices to have the convenience). And we were surprised that carnival changed the rules to limit pre-prurchases of liquor in February. And it was no where to be found on the FUN SHOP webpage. We are happy to buy a wine package once we get on board. Just couldn't find any info on that pre-cruise.And of course we each bring one bottle on. But that might only get us through the first night!
