  1. Actually, not angry at all, just frustrated, so please don't assign emotions to posts which are incorrect. Blog posts such as these are very one-dimensional forms of communication when you cannot hear someone's tone or see their face.

I am actually remarkably sensitive to smells myself which is one reason i always carry a neutralizer with me. Two cruises ago we got into a cabin that smelled so bad, I was just grateful i remembered to pack my spritzer. It was clean, at the surface level, spotless actually, but smells are smells, be they from bathrooms, mold, other people, food or perfume/cologne or cleaning products. If it's any consolation to you, and other allergy sufferers, instead of Febreze, i am looking into buying a non-chemical spray that uses essential botanical oils, which are non-toxic and don't pose a risk to allergy sufferers.

    Enjoy your cruise!

lol, I don,t go anywhere without my small can of Lysol. Period.

  2. TO MSBPTG,

I wish you luck... just be aware that many before you have tried and failed.

You might want to try out the trick that HAPPY CRIUSER 6143 has settled upon... she is going to dump the LifeJackets out of their "home basket" (found under the bed) and turn it upside down out on her balcony as a footstool. One of the most creative solutions to this problem I've read todate.

Although for a chuckle, nothing beats the topic here a few months ago on the "inflatable" (aka "blow up") footstools... wish I could find it because it had very funny posts (going thru Security with "blow up / inflatable" objects, using a pump, funny noises on balconies, etc)

    Cheers!

I,ll try it if my request for a footstool is denied..thanks for the tip..

  3. TO RICO,

I hear you on the footstools... but has been said here many times in the past on the CC CELEBRITY BOARD... if they did it for one they'd have to do it for all... and that wouldn't work (others not having the same space)

    Currently, the 1A's are just a category within the Deluxe Ocean View Stateroom with Verandas grouping... which also includes... 1B - 1C - 2A - 2B - 2C - 2D - and AX Accessible.

Many have said, they wonder why Celebrity just hasn't done away with the 1As on the angles (Decks 6, 7, 8, and 9), and just make them Concierge Class instead (Concierge Class and above being the ones that get the footstools).

For now though, I think you'll find that most Cruisers are happy that Celebrity hasn't taken this action... as 1As are a lot cheaper, and folks would prefer that "perk" over the footstools for the most part.

    Cheers!

As I,m going to be in cabin 6209 3/4 I,m going to ask my stateroom attendent for one of those footstools!! Wish me luck..

  4. This being our 7th or 8th cruise, the one thing I can say to anyone who is on board the ship is to use the room service..Its free, and if you have a balcony, even better. Theres nothing better than getting up in the morning and having a fresh crosant and some fresh fruit along with your coffee looking at the ocean while sitting outside the cabin...We don,t do excursions, we book on line..We don,t eat at speciality resturants..If you don,t like something, order something else!! And yes I do order 3 plates at every sitting. I have the waiter bring the 3rd plate after we eat our main meal and we sample the 3rd or even the 4th selection on the menu..Of course, have them remove what you,ve just ate, cause god forbid you wouldn,t wan,t to look like a slob...lol..I,ll have most but not all of my table mates join in on the sampling..Thats the cruise experience people, there,s nothing wrong with it, you,ve paid for it, so enjoy it..
