We booked our October cruise last month. Just had a 2nd price drop since booking! DH called Carnival today after work to make the adjustment. It's a 3 day cruise and we've saved $40 so far on the original booking rate. Plus, we saved $70 when be bought Carnival Gift cards on the AARP site.  I'm going to keep watching for more savings!😊

    That's grate news, congratulations!

I believe that it is 2500 points to be eligible for the Bounce Back offers - this is for slot and video poker play. For table games, they use a complex formula involving average bet, length of play, what you ate for breakfast that morning, what particular mood the casino host is in that day, and then make some calculations on an abacus to determine eligibility.

Bounce Backs are usually "free" offers - $100 plus port charges and receive $100 OBC for interior rooms (with the ability to upgrade for additional $), and I believe have to be booked within 60 days of returning - not sure, my parents do these, not me.

In addition, there are Premiere cruises that happen from time to time. Depending on your level of play, you receive a different offer code for these. Some could be free interior with $100 in casino cash, while others could be free balcony with $1000 in casino cash. They will also sometimes include a "Drinks on us" card at the beginning of the cruise.

I received one of these offers a while back, I was able to choose form a list of cruise that ended up being basically free.

I played craps in the casino that cruise and ended up winning $800.00, perhaps that's why they wanted me to come back?

In my opinion, which doesnt matter, 125.

There are so many platinums that the benefits of priority luggage, and getting on and off the ship are not so great. Too many people have these benefits.

Their other option to help with this is to add a level after platinum or gold, and move those benefits to the higher level.

Leave it as is, or change it, people will complain.

One real thing they could do and not have to change again is to make rhe days (or nights) drop off after some years, say 10. People would complain there too, but carnival will have solved their problem.

    I agree with you 100%

No matter what Carnival does people will complain. I do enjoy the tiers that carnival has as I work my way toward diamond. I will say that I feel the priority luggage thing is a joke because I have never received my luggage anytime prior to setting sail.

I do agree carnival should add another tier and mix it up from time to time.

They should really up the number of days to reach platinum to allow more time to research its benefits.

In your option up the number of days to how many?

I have been platinum for about 5 cruises now, and enjoy every perk they offer and my girl friend who is now red I'm sure she enjoys the benefits as well.

  5. I thought the opposite... I see cheaper prices than last year in my opinion. I booked a 5 day on the Valor in April for $254 and got $150 obc. The trouble was I couldn't decide which to book there were so many cheap prices...

Prices do seem to be fluctuating faster, so just keep a lookout.

Yes I agree, I noticed prices lower this year then last. My upcoming cruise was $50.00 Per person and had a $100.00 OBC when you book.

Did not receive that last year.

  6. Single Digit Dance to the Breeze! January 3, 9 days from this hour, I'll have just finished my lunch at Culcina Del Capitano! And gettin my drink on.

I don't care what you wear to dinner nor do I care if you smuggle booze. I don't care if you tip big, average, or remove your tips. I don't care if you smoke on your balcony nor do I care if you care about me smoking in the smoking areas. If I'm on a cruise then I'm on vacation and I aim to have fun.

Have fun I was on the Breeze back in August, it's an awesome ship.
