  1. I can't belive what I just read. Fricking gross! I have seen alot of these things, but I try to blot

them out as soon as possible to stop the gagging. That link of the lady who didnt/couldnt get out of her lounge at the pool before peeing, OMG!!!

From now on I am not talking to anyone, looking at anyone, touching any thing and bringing my own table tapkins to MDR. I am going to wear a surgical mask, and surgical gown, covered over by a HazMat suite, gloves, boots and my own air tank to breath with.

Thanks to all for bringing up everything I blotted out of my memory. I'm starting to gag, again!

    :cool::loudcry::mad:

  2. How to make nessesary repairs before getting under way, by Earl Scheib, home of the cheap paint and body shop:

First you gotta slather on the Bondo, then you wet sand it smooth, then you buff. However, don't press too hard, or you'll burn the paint, and for God's sake, you better not leave any swirl marks in the paint;p;p;p;p;p;p

  3. Woman steps into a both ATM in Tampa FL to withdraw money. Man steps in and stands in the doorway. Woman is done and asks the man to step aside, man smiles but says nothing nor moves. Woman draws a firearm from her purse and calls 911. Man is arrested. Charge - false imprisonment.

Man is in a men's restroom at a bar in Plant City, another man comes in and begins verbally accosting him. First man attempts to leave and second man physically blocks the door. First man strikes second man, fight continues. Police arrive. Second man arrested. Charge - false imprisonment.

Husband and wife are separated, man comes to pick up his daughter (legally) and begins arguing with wife in Tampa. 3rd floor apartment, one exit. Husband attempts to leave with daughter. Wife blocks door and states you are not leaving until we are done. Husband calls 911. Wife arrested. Charge - false imprisonment.

If you still think it is far fetched I can tell you some REALLY far fetched arrests. Like the store clerk who discovered the store safe was broken so he took the drawer money home at night, and then got arrested in the morning when he came to work, with the money.

Oh, and just to be clear, pushing someone is battery, a criminal act. So if you are pushing your way out of the elevator you are already committing battery.

784.03 Battery; felony battery.—(1)(a) The offense of battery occurs when a person:1. Actually and intentionally touches or strikes another person against the will of the other; or

Well, if youre in my way and wont move, than you might want to pick up the phone in the elevator and call 911, cuz you are getting shoved aside. LOL

  4. Threads like this make me wonder if I have made a mistake booking my first ever cruise.

I am one of those disabled people that appear outwardly "normal"... but am far from it.

Embarkation, muster, and elevators are my concerns and pose the largest risk to my well being. This cruise is one of my bucket list items.

Ah, dont worry. Everything will be just fine for you. Just get one of those V-Blades, like on those snowplow trucks on the highway, for the front of your scooter or wheelchair, and you watch and see all those morons get out of the way and give you space. Enjoy your cruise!!!

  5. Life is too short to get upset about an elevator. If they won't let you off, ride past your floor and go back to it. Like the impatient people who cram into the elevator thinking that their life will end if they have to wait another minute, people can stay in the elevator a minute if it is too hard to get out.

Oh BS., life is too short to be riding up and down an elevator so put your head down, lower your shoulder and drive with your legs. They will get out of the way, or get out with you:cool:

  6. Where oh where is our favorite single cruiser? Oh, and by the way, I just remembered (remembering is hard) that my DW and myself did the Allure in 2 of 16. ( I looked at my own signature the other day and saw it, DAH!)

I cant wait anymore, gotta go pack for my own Harmony Cruise in 8 days.

I'll check back later and maybe you'll have been on. Oh yea, been to Labadee, too, and you forgot to mention the dirty sand. It was just gross.

  7. Way back in the beginning of my cruise life, I used to roll 6 bottles of wine in my clothes in the suitcase. No Problem with bringing it on board. Gave to the Dining room in the AM and they put in the refrigerator and chilled it for the evening dinner in the MDR.

Now, with all the BS going on, and the alcohol ****s  taking it all at boarding, I just smuggle it on internally, ( you know, inside the stomach) and replenish it whenever I feel the level is getting low.

If you really want to live dangerously, buy mint green mouthwash, (cheaper at Walmart if you get their brand), empty it and refill with clear booze and put a little green dye in the bottle, then shake (gently) to get the correct color of mint green (or close, anyway)

It makes a great little spooker of rum, or vodka, or whatever, and also has the advantage of when your DW says you have bad breath, just pull it off the shelf in the bathroom and take a hit. No one will ever know.;p

It also stows in the little back pack things we DH carry around for our DW's. And you never know when you get bad breath, so it's always there when you need it.

Hope this helps, have a great cruise.:)

  8. My girlfriend finishes her PhD next year so we decided to take a trip to Europe to celebrate and we eventually decided that we wanted that trip to be on a cruise. I’ve cruised Carnival exclusively for 12+ years (I’m in my late 20’s) and my girlfriend has for 8 years and, while we still love Carnival, thought we’d try something different. Thus, we booked our cruise with the Jewel of the Seas which I think is a “Radiance” class ship. Anyways, what should we look forward to from Royal Caribbean in comparison to Carnival? Has anyone been on the Jewel of the Seas? What was your experience on that ship like? We’re very excited to see what this cruise line has to offer.

We are also Long Time Carnival Cruisers. We have been sharing the wealth on Royal, Princess and Norwegian, lately. We sailed the Jewell in Jan 2015 and thought it was a great ship. My DW and I loved it. It was larger than the Carnival ships, but kinda setup the same way. You will like the ship, and the amenities and then will opt to try a couple of others. We have been on Adventure, Allure and are booked on Harmony in 15 days. If you get a chance, try the Oasis class, 5k passgrs, but so big with so many things to do, it doesnt seem that crowded.

  9. Does anyone know if there is a liquor store at Ft. Lauderdale Airport so I can buy a bottle of wine to take on RC's Freedom of the Seas. We booked everything, cruise, air and shuttle through them and would like to buy a bottle to take on board. Last time I packed one, it broke. This way, I can just buy one and carry it on the ship.

    Thanks

Broward Duty Free Shop in , I think, Term 2. They are tied into int'l flights schedule. Good Luck

  10. Dining rooms on deck 2?

Maybe they eat in the crew's mess. On deck 1, (where we stayed once in the

family room with our 36 yo kid) we were only 1 deck above I95. I will never stay that

low again, so much weight on top of my head, I wanna be up high enough (close enough to

walk up a flight to the Lido for coffee in AM) where I need an oxygen mask to breath:D

  11. So glad you finally took the kid to Mickey World. I mean look at that face?? Now you have peaked my interest about the small world song.

Seriously, that song was in my head for months and I didn't do anything wrong.:')

For only a few months? I gotta tell ya, we were on the Big Red Boat in 87, or so, (remembering is hard) and before that we were

in Mouse Land. That song is still in my head, and after reading about it from you guys, the volume is really, really loud!!
