  1. two issues, I cannot see my dashboard, I haven't been on in several months and today it just won't let me. it just goes blue.

second, how early can you book your shows on Oasis class ships? haven't sailed one of them since Oasis first came out and want to ensure I get show tickets.

  2. We live 30 miles south of Port Canaveral. I would say, based on past experiences here, the port will not be open Friday. I would also say, there is a pretty good chance it will not be open Saturday either...it's possible, though. It's also possible that the harbor will need to be dredged before ships come in. It's also likely that only residents will be allowed over the causeway at first. I really don't remember how long it was before causeways were open to everyone. It might be that ships that are supposed to go out of Canaveral will be rerouted to Port Everglades or Miami.

It's going to be bad here....very bad. Brevard County has not had a Cat 4, ever.

we're 20 miles s/w of the port. we have experienced this before and the port had to be dredged back in 04 before ships could come in. we were cruising Mariner the weekend after the storm and had to take a bus to Ft. Lauderdale to cruise. the day we left, smaller ships were in the port, but the larger Mariner had to wait a few more days. we did return to PC. so, if you are cruising on FOS, I think it will go out in a southern port, but return to PC. we'll see. we are booked on it!

  3. oh I am with the OP. I was also told to go early. I'm D+ and have always waited for the horns. yes, many go early, but even when I arrive we still wait and wait for the drill to start. Are people now saying that the horn blows once everyone is in place?

Also, I now remember why I don't come to CC that often any more. It has become a slam the poster type of forum. I have checked in a few times lately and it isn't the helpful forum it used to be. more of "How can I tell someone how dumb they are?"

  4. We're considering doing the Mystic Man tour on the Eveready boat and I'm not seeing any recent reviews. so, I'm putting it out there and hoping to get some feedback, either with Mystic Man on another on of their boats, but would love to hear about the Eveready! thank you!

  5. I will apologize now for living near Port Canaveral and being able to take 3 night cruises on a regular basis. For this, I am sorry. I was born here, work here, and raised my son here. now, I am D+. I am not wealthy, nor poor. I am a middle class working person along with my DH. We started doing 7 night cruises after our son left the house and our responsibilities went away. Again, I'm sorry to have attained this level with ease.

But, on the other point, anyone could have taken b/b cruises 3/4 nights and earn 2 cruise points for 7 nights instead of 1.

  6. Thanks in advance for answering my questions. I reviewed the RCC website to search for the information, but it is vague at best.

#1 Regarding the dining room, which level do you prefer...deck 3 Leonardo, deck 4 Issac, or deck 5 Galileo. Any positives or negatives?

#2 Ice Show....I keep reading to "reserve" tickets of it.....how does one go about doing that? It this something that is done during the online check in?

#3 Disembarkment....Again, I keep reading about luggage tags and how the color of the tags will indicate your departure time. If we want an early departure time, how do we go about getting the correct luggage tags? Also, I am considering carrying our bags off ourselves the morning of our departure, just so we don't have to wait for our bags on the curbside. What happens in that case?

#4 CoCo Cay tender....can you sign up in advance for the tender, so you can request a certain time, or is it first come, first serve?

If there is something on line that I am missing that would address questions like this, please direct me to it! We booked directly with RCCL and other than calling them with tons of questions, I am not sure where to get the answers. I think their website if vague and does not meet my needs!

    Thanks again!

    1) I like all levels of the dining room.

    2) ice show tickets you can pre-book at royalcaribbean.com login and book your entertainment

    3) go to customer service if you need a different time then assigned.

    4) no, you just get in line. it's not too crazy most of the time, but early tenders may be busy.

  7. They will only pull the bag they have a question about. They do not go about matching up peoples luggage.

I don't use rum runners anymore but when I did, they never picked up on them. When I did put them in luggage, I would make sure that particular suitcase had nothing at all that might raise suspicion. I wouldn't even put a bottle of mouthwash, or large toiletries bottles.

Back before the wine was allowed and I had two bottles of wine in my suitcase and was called down, they asked if I had a bottle of wine in my bag and when I said yes, they said they needed to confiscate it and could I open the bag and give it to them. Stupid me dug deep and gave up both bottles. I asked if I could have them back before disembarkation and they said no (this was out in San Diego in 2009 or maybe 2010). I was really annoyed since at the time, we never had a problem sailing out of the east coast with wine in our luggage and if you did you always got it back the last night. I had just come from a wine tasting and they were very expensive. grrrrrr

when you got caught, was that Mariner of the Seas? when it was in port canaveral, it was known for finding liquor too. my thoughts were that the captain was harder about smuggling and he had ensured his staff would search and find better than other ships.
