Does anyone have a recent wine list to share? I am trying to cost out with our typical cruise drinking habits the all inclusive option by factoring bottle of wine choices vs wine by glass options offered in the package. We are sailing out of Boston 10/23.

So after serious consideration of risks of quarantine, we decided going thru with our March 14 11 day Wind Star cruise. A 2 night stay in Panama prior had been arranged and flights to Panama City with a return home from St Marteen was booked. I had questioned our travel agent a few days before departure if ports of calls were still accepting the Wind Star passengers onto their shores and given assurance that at that date they were. Low and behold , shortly after flying into and checking into our hotel in Panama City Thursday evening March 12, I opened the email from Windstar informing me that all their cruises had been suspended effective on our sail away date of March 14. So we arranged for return home flights Friday on the next day that we had anticipated a sail away out of Colon on the Wind Star. The upcharge for next day flights for 2 cost us more than $800. Is it reasonable to expect Windstar to reimburse for our extra transportation home costs? Also, is it with in reason to expect coverage for the hotel stay prior to our cancel cruise?

Ill be on the Wind Spirit in FP this fall. Do the snorkel and hiking excursions usually have space to book using OBC once on board or is it best to book and pay Windstar in advance?

Glad you enjoyed this cruise, I'll be aboard on Saturday, second time with Windstar/ Wind Surf in northern Europe Were you able to snorkel and was the sports deck in use often? Also what time did you disembark at cruises end. Thanks for the post

Does Windstar Star provide snorkeling equipment? I will bring my own mask and tube but would like to leave fins at home. If they do provide, can you borrow fins to bring on privately arranged snorkel trips?

Thank you Wendy for your extensive trip report. My wife and I where on the initial Uniworld tour River Tosca cruise in the beginning of October. It was wonderful reliving this adventure through your reporting. Your observations where spot on. We where a group of 20 which provided an interesting diversity of fellow travelers with whom to share experiences and dinner. Mohammed Ragbed was our excellent Egyptologist guide and he did a remarkable insightful and efficient job. Mohammed Ali was the ship bound masseuse who provided both yoga on the sun deck and massage extraordinaire. This experiance remains highly recommended for the adventuresome. Thanks again.:)

I've recently booked this cruise on the Wind Surf for July 2014. Anyone sail this route earlier this year? The itinerary is what sold me.

They certainly outdid themselves on this tour. My vicarious vagabond following has been a pleasure since they were first rambling thru Asia up to Kara swimming on top of the world…..ya think they can return to a sprinter van after the splendor Ponant had to offer them. Thanks Kara and Nate
