  1. Thinking of booking a 35 day Hawaii/Tahiti cruise on Koningsdam, but I need internet access daily for work. (Can't take a vacation from my own business, lol). Anyway, can anyone speak to the reliability? I know it could be dreadfully slow and even inaccessible at certain points on any given day, but is it reasonable to expect I could respond to emails and check on things daily?

  2. Coral Trolley was quite unused early in the day (last February). Several ships were in port. There was construction at the port (VV) and we had trouble finding the stop. Nobody but us. It was nice, clean, free, and fun!

    3. Much better food and dining options than Royal Caribbean.  We always choose the healthiest food option, regardless of taste, and the options were very tasty.  My lunch of the 2nd day, crew had passed the word up to Edward, the executive chef, that we’re vegan and he came to ask us what, if anything, they could do to accommodate us.  I told him that there are ample options for vegans who don’t care about healthy, but for those who care about healthy eating, the options were limited.  He asked a few questions, then told us we would be taken care of.  We were!  Every time we went to a restaurant, they knew as soon as they scanned our bracelet that they needed to prepare a healthy meal for us and they did.  Every meal was whole food (no refined or processed foods), plant based, without sugar and every meal was fabulously delicious.  Our only possible complaint is that food was wasted.  Huge complements to executive chef Edward.

@FalklandIslander My husband and I switched to WFPB a few years ago and have found cruise ship food (RCC and all of them) a bit of a challenge ever since. We're booked on VV in mid-February and were worried that we'd have to subsist on fruit and hummus lol. If you don't mind elaborating, What sort of options were you able to get? Was it in the Galley, Restaurants, or both? Any specifics would be greatly appreciated!

  4. I was on the Pride a couple of weeks back. My cabin was on deck 1 just a few doors down from the 'quarantine' cabins. Nothing was happening at the start of the cruise but by the end there were 5 or so cabins with small tables outside the doors for room service deliveries and dishes and crew members in HAZMAT-type suits coming and going. Seems like there were definitely a few positive cases, although the info wasn't being broadcast.

  5. We got a shady sounding email saying our cancelled cruise (Feb 2022) was now a future cruise credit if our booking had been paid in full. It was not. Plus, I'm not interested in a different itinerary or ship at this time.  But there was no info on refunds- when or how they would be processed. I suppose I'll have have to get in the phone queue to get our refund sorted out... It's too bad that 18 months into cancellations and they don't have a better way to convey this info and process all the changes. So much legwork for TA's, PX, MSC CS, just everyone!

  6. Quick question for anyone more in the know than myself... I'm so excited to be boarding the Pride in just over a month. The prices have been amazing and I kinda want to book multiple weeks. But. I need daily reliable internet access for my job and I can't really not work for weeks. I've heard mixed reviews on the wifi including what time of day, where on the ship, etc. If the wifi is decent, however, I'd love to do a B2B, but I really won't know until I'm there. So, is it possible to book a second week while onboard? Thanks for your expertise in advance!

  7. My first NCL cruise was on the Majesty. It was my favorite ship...the Pearl is a close second. The Pearl has a coffee machine in the buffet that makes espresso fresh by the cup intead of the not-so-amazing coffee available everywhere else. Most people aren't sure what it is and walk away vrustrated while the machine is gearing up to pull the shots. It's really funny to watch! Also, LOVE the pretzel rolls

  8. About 5 weeks ago I booked a GTY inside on the 2/14/14 30 day Hawaii/Tahiti trip of my lifetime. I will love any cabin- noise, light, worn carpet...as long as I'm no longer in Ohio :) How often has anybody else been not assigned a cabin # just a few days out? I know this has been asked dozens of times, but it's a long cruise. How and when do they decide who goes where? Do the majority of folks choose their cabin anyway on a longer trip? Thanks for your thoughts.
