  1. As a regular casino user, I can categorically state, that OBC's CANNOT be used in the casino. For a start, it's not run by Cunard, it's franchised out so the casino has no access to your on board account.

Either you use cash or you charge to your room. Your choice, but nothing else.

Don’t forget the money is shared out with all crew, laundry, galley engine room, maintenance,  waste disposal and too many other behind the scenes  folk to mention. They are all equally deserving in my opinion and easy to overlook.

Engineering staff do not qualify, only "Hotel" staff.

  3. We've done over a dozen crossings. Mostly the ship was either full or almost full.

Never at any time has it felt crowded. Indeed, most of the time you'd think there were only a couple of hundred pax aboard.

  4. A few years ago on a crossing, there were many NATO families returning to the US and Canada. Lots of Mess Dress in the formal nights.

There were so many kids that the captain put on a children's cocktail party. Soft drinks and donuts.

All were reasonably well behaved (military families) the only exception being the Pavillion Pool where they could get rather boisterous.

  5. On boarding you get an escort to your room.

Every morning the butler delivers the newspapers on an ipad.

You have your own dining table and 4 chairs.

There are stairs into the bath.

    It's exactly 50% bigger than Q5/6/7

Entertainment, how do you rate the entertainment?  We loved HAL and their classical music ensemble.  We love production shows.  What music is being offered in the evenings in the lounges.  We hate RCCL and their thumping loud music where you cannot talk to each other over a drink.  We do love trivia however.

Unfortunately, even on a Westbound with 25 hours in a day, there's still not enough time to participate in all the activities/lectures/concerts/shows/classes etc. etc.

  7. Just read somewhere else, about a QG passenger in the hot tub talking to somebody who was discussing his 2nd sitting dining service.

The Grill deck was apparently extremely busy and not policed.

There is a small third tier (maybe not a true full third level) as part of upper Britannia. That area may be quieter than the rest of the larger venue.
I agree, Britannia has a nice buzz vs being noisy.

There is a third tier. That's where the watercolour art classes are held.

  9. No music or piped music in any restaurant.

Occasionally, the harpist will play at the entrance to the Britannia.

Prior to Covid, in the QG lounge on QM2, there used to be concerts for Grills pax which were not advertised anywhere else except on the QG and PG tables. They removed the grand piano and stopped the concerts. Shame.

  10. Never heard of that happening before. It's not like an aeroplane that gets regularly oversold to compensate for "no shows".

If all the rooms are booked then there should be zero "no shows".

    Something is definitely not right.

  11. You can drop off your luggage any time after 11:00am.

Actual boarding times vary. It can start as early as midday, or like last year, we had to wait until 1:00pm.

The boarding order is QG, PG, Club, Diamond, Platinum then by letter ( A, B, C etc) or by order of arriving.

PS I know  everyone  will say there is the a la carte but that doesn't change

In QG it changes every week.
