Can I just catch a cab to take to a beach with umbrellas, chairs, drinks and food for purchase in Coco Cay? I think I’m too late to get an excursion for that.

Are there legitimate concerns for cruising to the Bahamas due to the coronovirus? Just asking for opinions of fellow cruisers. Thanks!

Good information. My husband is 77 , will be 78 when we travel and it may be that the cruise line insurance may work best. I will look at those websites. I just thought I should look into it! Thanks!

Thank you for your response! We have cruised several times but always just took the insurance offered by the cruise line. We are looking to book a Viking river/ocean combo and the insurance is really costly so I thought I'd investigate. I also read about pre-existing conditions, which seem to be confusing. So it does seem the best approach is to talk to an insurance agent to get questions answered. Thank you very much!

If you are talking about purchasing the policies offered by the cruise line, yes. Each offers a policy unique to them with specific terms.
If you are talking about purchasing independent third-party insurance, each insurance company offers a number of policies with varying coverage, but they are not limited to a single cruise line.
Forgive me if my assumption is incorrect, but it seems that you may not have much experience with travel insurance. Your question is really broad, and there is a lot to consider in getting the right coverage. Do you need to consider pre-existing conditions? Cancel for any reason? Coverage for additional expenses such as hotels, airfare, or independent excursions? Does age make the policy more expensive?
Sorting it all out can be time consuming and a little overwhelming. You can buy a policy from Viking or you can get a third party policy. Whatever you decide, read the policy and ask for clarification when necessary. That way you can minimize the chance of a nasty surprise if you have to file a claim.I suggest you call an agent at the trip insurance store or insure my trip. Explain your situation to them, and let them help you find the best policy.

Does the travel insurance differ for different cruise lines? If we book a Viking cruise, should we look for a certain travel insurance or are they applicable to all cruise lines? Thanks!

I'd like to take a cruise with my daughter and her 2 sons (10 and 12). Would we be better off with 2 rooms next door or a suite? Never cruised with anyone other than my husband.

I would like to take my grandsons (10 and 12) on a Carribbean cruise and just was hoping for some thoughts one which cruise lines might have the best entertainment, activities, fun on deck, etc. for his age group. When I go, I look for cruises with fewer kids and quieter atmosphere. Any help appreciated!

All of your suggestions are great and I really appreciate the. I'm going to be on a steroid (for RA) while on board and will be more susceptible to infection. I don't want to be crazy about it, but many of the things you mentioned will be easy to do and so helpful!!! Thanks a ton!:D

aburnett: With the beverage package, you could also get a bloody mary in the evening before bed and ask for NO ICE. Refrigerate and in the morning you are all ready to greet the morning. This won't work so well for a mimosa.
cruisingagainsoon: This shouldn't be a problem but check because it might be included in the cost of the bottle. Oftentimes mixers are part of the cost.
Now that aburnett has mentioned this, I might just be doing this for our sea days.
Great idea! I feel sure we'll be doing this!

We are in CC and wondered, with priority boarding, what will be available for lunch dining when we board.
-
How would I get a bloody mary in the morning to enjoy on balcony?

Thanks so much. Can't wait!

Is tipping expected or is it included in the normal tips?

On a 15 night cruise, would there be 3 dressy nights (2 Chic and1 Formal)?

We are about to take a 15 day Celebrity Infinity Panama Canal cruise and I want to enjoy every day-- without getting sick. Does anyone have any tips, suggestions, do's or don'ts that help avoid catching something on board?
Thanks!

Does anyone have information or have stayed in this room? We are headed to the Panama Canal in April and will have this room. We are sure looking forward to it and wondered about further insight to this room, ship, Concierge class benefits, things to watch for. Thanks so much, fellow cruisers:D

What do you think of the idea of a brewed coffee card that would cost about $10 for the current cruise and would be given free to purchasers of the specialty coffee card which would remain at its current price.
This would be good for people who only wanted the brewed coffee and for people using specialty coffee cards from previous cruises which currently can't be used for brewed coffee.
When I looked at the Princess site, it lists $31 for the coffee card. Where did you see it for $10? I'd like one of those!!!

Go to the closest bar and order one then go back to your cabin - probably the easiest and quickest way.
Thanks! Will do!

Has anyone taken a Windstar cruise for the Panama Canal cruise? I was thinking that being on the big yacht might be the best way to see-- up close and personal. Any ideas?
