Our cruise before the lockdowns was on the NCL Escape for a friends 70th b-day party. Was not impressed. I would rather cruise CCL (have done 4) than NCL again.

Does anyone in the baggage drop off need tipping?
Yes, the porters if you are checking luggage. Is it required no, but not tipping is being cheap. Yes most of these workers are union longshoremen who make really good money. JMHO

We arrive in Galveston from our 10/24 Regal cruise on 11/5. DST happens at 2am. So we get an extra hour on the ship, although sleeping.

It took you hours to book 2 excursions? That's not a website problem.
If you were on the website, what does that have to do with the app?
1) Actually we booked 3 excursions on 2 different charges. We are thorough on booking, we see what they offer, read reviews, look at other what websites offer. I should not have resign in every 10-15 minutes while actively using the website.2) It was my general of frustrations with PCL. My 8 y/o cell is also not PCL app friendly.

When we booked our cruise we bought trip insurance from Allianz Global through her. Our policy covers $500,000 for medical emergency. Cost about $750.

Who ever is in charge of PCL's IT should be fired immediately. My wife and I spent several hours today trying to book excursions on the PCL website for our 10/24 cruise. We got timed out at least a dozens times while searching for excursions that met our expectations, causing us to have to resign in to the account numerous times. We got 2 booked before our patience waned. If this the future of cruising with the stupid app, count me out.

Not on cruise, but at home about 3 years ago. A helicopter ride of about 70 miles was $33,000. Insurance paid all but $1600. I retired 2 months later.

On our upcoming cruise next month (our 1st in 5 years) my wife the creative genius of family, has made a door sign based off the Eddie Money song "Two Tickets To Paradise."

I have gotten 2 bid to upgrade notice for our cruise in Oct. We are in a mini on aloha midship. I picked that cabin. Offers are for a full suite, uh no out of my price range. Or Reserve class, which is doable, but I am not giving up my cabin choice, for snob dining, therefore I ignore the upgrade emails.

And we do that too.

When booked our next cruise our T/A requested for extension cords.

Good thing living in small town is I walked into my local PO that handles passports renewal & without an appt. and was in & out in 45 mins. Got passports in 9 weeks. This was in Feb.
Even domestically I travel with my passport. It trumps all forms ID, whether Real, Non Real or Fake. lol No reason to worry if I have the right ID or not.

Have not cruised in 5 years due to the stupid lockdowns, but the PCL website truly is badly maintained. IT couldn't poor piss out of a boot with directions on the heel. Things that should be saved on many of the portals have to be repeated and reentered on every part of the site. I hope life on board the ship is not as complicated and F'up as their website.

I logged into my act just now
Maybe try again

I had the same thing happen for our Oct cruise. In my ocean ready put my cc as the default card for both of us. Updating my wife's ocean ready it asked for a cc#. I put in mine from my act and it said it was an invalid card. I just put in another cc and will straighten it out once on board. PCL truly has IT issues with the AP. Not user friendly.

My 1st cruise was also on Carnival in 1983. I stories about that lol.

Yes, my last cruise was on NCL Escape. Not impressed I see you are from Vancouver, we have cruised twice from there, once to Alaska and once to Hawaii. Love your city. See you aboard, I like to hangout at a martini bar.

I am on the 12 day So Carib after the TA that departs on10/24 from FLL to GAL. It is our 1st cruise in 5 years. Last sailed PCL in 10/2005. Looks like it will be pretty full.

Here is your misunderstanding, there is not a major airport in Galveston. It is NOT a suburb of Houston. You have to fly in/out of Houston, some 50-70 miles away depending on what airport you use Hobby or IAH. If you are fortunately to live in city served by SW then hobby is a good option.

I would gladly trade my premium desserts, juice bar, and fitness classes with Plus for OBC. But extra charges for perks no one wants is high profit margin for Princess.

We will on Regal in late Oct., last cruised Princess 2005. On sea days(we have 6) I like my coffee Irish(Bailey's and Jameson). Where on the ship would you go for that? I have + package.

At home we grind each pot from coffee we get at Costco. I have never purchased Starbucks coffee. I have had Peet's once because it was all they had at the hospital where my wife was. We both agreed that we don't like it as it seems to taste "burned". My wife will pay for coffee at places like Dutch Bros but I think paying $5 or more for a cup of coffee is idiotic. (I'm old and remember sitting in the coffee shop with a bottomless cup of coffee that cost 10¢.)
I book with Princess Plus so my coffee is included in that price. I tend to get one Vanilla Latte with either an extra shot (or two) or with a shot of Jameson. (I've gotten a few weird looks from other passengers if I order a Black Coffee with either 1 or 2 extra shots.)
Jameson and coffee are like pb& j, they go together. lol

This sound advice. Th same be all our financial dealings. I my bank and credit activity everyday and every account. It now so easy to comprise your data not to be diligent.

Would some define good coffee to me??? I make my own at home using Maxwell House, have been for 30+ years. I like a little cream and sugar. I wouldn't go to Starbucks if it was free or any over priced coffee shop.
That being said on a cruise I lace it with Jameson and Bailey's. Now that is good coffee. lol

How-to: Disable the motion-sensing light on Princess (w/pic)

Just off the Regal, we were in a MS. I am going to the "dark side", on this issue. I liked having the light come on in the hall between closet and bathroom when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night. No other lights come on in the cabin.
