it is listed on the fun times. Usually in the afternoon on a sea day in the theater.
Thank you!

I’m on the Ecstacy right now, so I’m on my phone and can’t get the search function to work.
Can someone tell me the details on this?? The customer service desk line is superrrrr long and everyone else I’ve asked has no idea!

You won't be out of place unless someone that knows the military dress code calls you on it in public.
Lol...they shouldn't! It's set up correctly and they're allowed to wear it to formal occasions! :D

I love seeing the uniforms on elegant night! I've been on three cruises this year, and saw dress uniforms on each one, along with some formals (including me and my travel companion!). Yes, we're in the minority, but it's MY vacation, and it's what I want to do. I also tend to dress up a little more for dinner in the MDR each evening, because it's what I want to do. Enjoy! And definitely do go to the Military Appreciation Gathering. That's one of the things I look forward to on every trip.
Thanks and gratitude to your husband for serving, and thanks to you as well for supporting him.
You're right!! I WANT to dress up...it's fun!! So we will!! Can you tell me about the gathering?? I can't remember hearing about that before...but it's been years!

Thank you all! Some of these replies made me giggle but most made me feel better! He definitely doesn't want to wear it, LOL, but his suits just don't fit him right and *I* prefer the uniform. I'm a mean wife. But I really love dressing up!! I just wanted to make sure that it hadn't gone completely out of style...that would be unfortunate!

Thank you, all! He's worn his formal uniform on every cruise we've been on...but that was 2 Disney and one other Carnival and the last was 6 years ago, lol. We'll take them and get some amazing pictures! :-)

If it matters...we leave next Monday on the Ecstasy.

I was planning on my husband wearing his Dress Blues (Army) and myself wearing a ball gown. I keep reading that people are wearing jeans/sundresses/etc. Will we be the only ones dressed up??? He just bought a new pair of his uniform shoes (that he'll need for the ball in December anyways...) because I said he had to bring it, LOL. I'd LIKE to dress up like this...but if no one else will be...

I don't believe so. My research on military OBC showed that the only cruise lines that offer onboard military credit for veterans are Princess and Cunard. Some other lines, such as Holland-America may offer some price reductions on some cruises to veterans or current active duty military personnel but nobody but the two lines I just mentioned offer on-board credit.

Thanks, Tom! Will have to look into those for the next one!

Does the military credit apply to the regular Carnival ships? If so, can someone point me in the right direction to get signed up? Off to google...

Are there different themed nights other than the formal night?

Just booked today...68 days!

Can anyone confirm (or deny) that the Carnival doors are magnetic?? I made magnet/posters out of Very thin magnetic sheets for our Disney cruise over Christmas and they stuck to the door perfectly. Wondering if I can do the same on Carnival this summer or if I need to make something else...or bring something else to hang them??
Military’s appreciation gathering??

It sounds wonderful! Today is our first sea day...I didn’t see anything! We only have one more so hopefully it’s that one! I haven’t seen anything about Tea, either, which I LOVE so I’ll keep my eyes out! We are both Veterans, hubby is still Active! Do you have to ask after the military table for tea?
