Shuttle to EWR is $16/pp. No reservations. They just fill the shuttles up as folks get off the ship and send them off. When you come through customs,you make a left and go to the dispatcher at the end of the tent. He will put you on a shared shuttle or will get you a private taxi/car. $45 sounds a little low - I'm thinking at least $50 for a private car.

Relatively new to this thread. Is there a shuttle from the port Cape Liberty to the EWR airport? If so, are reservations needed and what is the cost?

I have read that taxis are abundant and charge about $45.00 per couple for the trip to the EWR airport?

Does anyone have the phone number of Independent Driver? We need transportation from the Springhill Suites by Marriott (about 4 miles for the airport) to the port and from the port back to the Newark airport. I have hear that there is a shuttle as that may be another possiblity.

I booked the Country Inn & Suites. Just as a matter of info, they have a senior citizens rate of $114.

We did a Game Drive before we boarded the ship in Capetown. We did it in the Sabi Sands area of South Africia. It was absolutely fantastic and I would urge anyone who has 3 spare days to do at least one. I will send all the details in my email to you.

Princess did not offer an overland tour to the game parks.

A number of people came to southern Africa early for a safari to one or more of the game parks.
