  1. Thank you regarding the jacket. I am in between sizes so I will size down and hope it's right.

According to friends of mine on board the jacket runs big. But there is a jacket exchange as there was in Antarctica. Also note the light lining does not zip out.

    Jenidallas and Marazul,

I really appreciate your reports and positive attitudes. This clearly was an issue that came at Seabourn from out of left field but I am reassured by your comments that Seabourn is keeping the passengers informed and trying to develop an acceptable plan B.

Can you tell me a little about the scenery, if any you have enjoyed from the ship, and if you have seen much marine life so far?

  2. Hi! We will be on board in a few weeks, so I will follow this thread. One quick question: do you feel the jackets fit true to size/large/small? Thanks!

On board now. Anyone else on board, feel free to add your comments here.

    A few quick comments:

Embarkation went smoothly. Unfortunately, the luggage scanners at the terminal were not working so no one got their luggage until after the safety drill.

The jackets are quite nice. There was a jacket exchange this morning to get your correct size.

Tonight is the formal night and this is a quote from the Herald:

"In all other venues, guests are welcome in Elegant Casual attire. Kindly note: jeans are not appropriate in the Main Restaurant after 6 pm"

This is a sea day and there are lectures, bridge and many activities scheduled every second of the day.

Everything else is up to the usual standards.

  3. We did it last year and really enjoyed it. We couldn't get to Bar Harbor because of bad weather, but the rest of the trip was really nice, weather-wise. We enjoyed many of the ports.

    Hi,

For the past few years I've been looking for a trip that stops at some of the lesser-known ports such as Baie-Comeau, Gaspe, Perce, Isle de la Madeleine, etc. Pearl Seas has one that stops at all of these, and is a trip I'm seriously considering; however, I recently came across this cruise that sails on the Quest and noticed that it stops at a few of the ports I'm interested in. I have a particular interest in Montreal and noticed that this cruise starts there. That would work out well since I'd like to spend at least an extra day there before the cruise begins.

If anyone has done this cruise or has any thoughts / recommendations on Seabourn in general, please pass them along. The Quest was in port at Ushuaia on our recent Antarctica cruise, and so it got me thinking about Seabourn and what they might have to offer in the way of Canada and the St. Lawrence.

    Thanks for any input!

    Keith

  4. Thank you both! The cruise is in the Mediterranean, with both city and island stops. The other side was already taken, so I suspect it might be prime viewing, but ocean *or* coast both sound great to me! I saw the deck is slightly smaller on the middle ones, but having two viewing angles at once sounds great.

It's on the Sojourn, so I think the suites will be brand new in June.
