  1. My sister and I used the BOGO promotion for our cruise to Athens, Greece this past April. She flew from one US city and I flew from a totally different US city this past April with no problem. The airfare did not change, and there was nothing special we had to do other than specify each city.

Please let us know how it turns out.

At least for Delta and American Airlines, there is a form on their web site that a passenger can submit to request the reason for a flight cancellation. I completed the form and got a response within 48 business hours.

  4. Still working on it. Not sure how Klfrodo assumed I did not make every effort to catch the ship?😮 Didn't want to go into all the details here.

At any rate, I learned that I can submit a news article regarding the weather and airport closings. Thankfully, I found a couple of articles that I hope will suffice.

One thing to note. My traveler's insurance company will cover weather-related flight cancellations. It will not cover other types of flight cancellations, such as mechanical issues.

    Thanks all!

  5. Hello, My flight was cancelled due to weather, and to make a very long story short, I missed my cruise.

I need to file a claim with my traveler's insurance company. How do I prove to them that the flight was cancelled due to weather? The cancellation notice from the airlines only says that my flight was cancelled. I was told once inside the airport that the reason was due to weather in the layover city.

  6. Yes, the tour was about three hours. We didn't buy anything at the food market. It was small and sold mostly vegetables and a small amount of meat. Doubtful if you would want anything from there. It was interesting though.

I paid about 25 CUCs for the food that I ate. You don't have to buy any food if you don't want to. You can also share with others. The first stop was a restaurant where we got the Cuban sandwiches. It was too much food for me to eat. Although I paid the full amount (can't remember how much),  I gave half my sandwich to the tour guide. Our last stop was another restaurant. I shared the cost with a very nice couple from Canada (I was solo).

I tipped the tour guide 20 CUCs. Others tipped 10 CUCs. You can tip at your discretion.

  7. I've done the food tour with Strawberry tours. It was a very good tour, and I would definitely do it again if given the opportunity. We went to several different restaurants and street food vendors. We paid for the food at each location. Keep in mind that in Cuba, all food items might not be available that day. For example, the pizza place did not have pizza the day we visited. Another location did not have tea. And, so on.

The food I ate was very good. I did not eat at all the stops (I don't care for corn-on-the-cob or coffee). I read somewhere about a person warning others not to eat the ice cream because they became ill. I did eat the ice cream, but I did not eat the cone because it was passed from person-to-person with bare hands. The Cuban sandwich was the best I've ever had.

We also visited a small market. And, our guide answered all of our questions about Cuba. We tipped the guide at the end of the tour.

Hi there, I now only have two vouchers for sale, one valid until 10 Feb 2020, the other until 14 May 2021. I am looking just to receive back what I paid for them, therefore £200 or $250. The value obviously doubles when using for a future cruise. Is anyone interested?

Hi Wemdym, I'm interested in both vouchers. Please email me at djn355 @ hotmail . com

  9. Hi! I think we're on the same cruise. You don't need to book a tour. I was planning to book a tour the second day with Royal Caribbean, but I changed my mind. I've signed up to do a free walking tour with Strawberry tours (https://strawberrytours.com/havana) that morning, and then go to the Almacenes San Jose market that afternoon.

If you haven't done so, please check out our roll call and sign up for the Meet and Mingle.

  10. I've experienced this problem also, and it only seemed to get worse and last longer after each cruise. Then I stumbled upon a product called DiVertigo. It's a topical oil that is applied behind the ear. Its starts to work after about five minutes. I use it twice a day for several days after each cruise. It has worked wonders for me, and it has kept me from missing work.
