    We're waiting for the airfare to open up for our cruise.  We've gotten good deals that way also.

  2. Could someone please help me out with a question?  Rest assured this is not a school home work question (like train "A" vs train "B")

     

    1.  A flight from the USA leaves Texas at 10PM on a Friday, and the flight lands in Sydney on Sunday morning at 730AM.

    The flight is listed as having an "in air" time of 17 hours.  Springtime in northern hemisphere

    Will most of the flight time be in darkness?  I'm thinking the answer is yes, since it's dark in Texas when leaving and the night would follow the flight eventually overtaking it before landing.  Guessing the flight crew will start getting everyone awake by about 5am (Sydney time) to serve breakfast and it will just be getting light outside, so about 3 hours of outside visibility?  Trying to decide if a window seat is of any importance.

     

     2.  Anyone done this trip are economy seats OK for old people or is premium economy or if at all affordable business class a must?

  3. Thank you all for your replies.  I'm cruising on Princess and their FAQ on banned items doesn't specifically list CBD

     

    • All illegal drugs, including medications without proper prescriptions. This includes legal intoxicant synthetic or “designer” drugs also known as “Legal Highs” such as Lysergamides, Opioids, Methoxetamine, Synthetic Cannabis, Betel Nuts or Kava (Cava).
    • Medical Marijuana

     

    I was hoping someone else had tried it, I will probably air on the side of caution.  Hate to fly across the country only to be denied boarding.🙀

    Our cruise leaves Apr 2nd, so I've stopped stressing over the app.  Up until Wednesday we couldn't even access it, so I was figuring on doing it old school at the port anyway.  It's more frustrating than anything.  I've moved on to stressing about the covid test.... no reason to expect anything other than negative....it's just that darn little black cloud that hangs around! 🙄  Mostly I'm just excited to be cruising again😄

    Thanks for all the suggestions.  I added the country code, rechecked and rechecked all the information I can edit.  Still doesn't take it.  Guess I'll call Princess Monday, hopefully they can straighten it out.  I considered trying to add the passport as new, but was afraid to mess up what I was able to enter.

    I did, got the same message.  I thought I read on earlier posts it has something to do with the middle name.  Trouble is I can't remember what the solution was or if that was for adding credit cards. 

  7. I know I've read the answer to my question multiple times in the 102 pages of this thread, but do you think I can find it now.... of course not!!

    My husband and I are FINALLY able to access the Medallion app for our April 2nd sailing.  In the travel documents section, when we try to select the passport they have in their system we keep getting "First name/dob not matching your profile data".  How do I fix it?

    Changing my 2 passwords to the same one was the only thing Princess support was able to do over the phone.  We sail on 4/2 and my husband and I still can't access Medallion class.  I emailed IT months ago and they finally sent an email stating they were working on it......nothing yet, but it's more than before.  Oh well, will just do the check in at the pier.

Another vote for giving up ( or rather GAVE up)!  Neither my husband or I have  been able to get the app or the web based site to accept our booking numbers.  We have been talked to a Princess rep both on the phone and live chat.  I sent an email to IT.  Thank you to whomever provided an email address!  They sent me a very nice email reply saying they were sorry I was having a problem, they would look into it, but they take the issues in order of sail date.  Since our sail date is April 2, I sent them another email.  Same reply.  

    At least my son and his gf have been able to use the app for our dining times are set. Now we will just wait until we get to port to check in.

I've been trying to get in touch with Henry from Henry's Triple E Taxi and Tours.  Does anyone know if he is still working?  He usually responds to emails with 48 hours, but hasn't replied.  Also, I was not able to reach him by phone.  We enjoyed our tour with him in 2009 and would like to use him again in April.

    Hi, My husband and I are having trouble trying to add our April reservation to our Medallion App.  We have been in touch with Princess via both online chat and the customer support telephone number.  While both were pleasant, they were not able to rectify the problem and said they would send the issue to IT.  This was in the beginning of December and we still can't add the reservation nor have we heard from IT.  I found an email address on this forum, askocean-medallion@carnival.com.  The email delivery was blocked

    The response from the remote server was:

    Yes. You can choose how much of your future cruise credit you want to use on new bookings and can use the credit against more than one. You just need to use it before the expiration date of Dec 31, 2021.

Does anyone know if the FCC can be used on several different cruises or must it be used on a cruise of the same length if not the same itinerary?  We booked at 35 day transpacific cruise for big bucks.  They aren't running that itinerary next year and we would probably not be able to go if they did.  We could maybe do several east coast cruises by the end of 2021.  Also, it says its nontransferable, but could I book several cabins in my name to be able to take family along?  Thanks 

  15. Hi, Hubby and I will be on the Ruby for her April 2020 cruise Sydney to Vancouver.  We are trying to decide whether to keep our traditional dining time of 7:15 or change to Anytime dining.  Does anyone know what time shows normally start?

I can stick a chip in and have it automatically copy over all the files, leaving the originals in place on my camera chip. Much less weight and I was also able to use the device's wifi capability to copy over selected pictures direct to my iPad so other cruisers could ooh and aah over them! 

     

     

    May I ask what exactly is the Western Digital solution?  My husband is looking for a way to backup his pictures while we travel without having to take a laptop. Thanks
