Following! I've done the same and am waiting to hear from NCL whether I'm accepted or not. I would love to hear if anyone has been successful or not doing this.

On my cancellation letter, it states that our 20% bonus FCC is available through 2023, but it just says you will have your original FCC back in your account by January 11, 2022. And that had an expiration date of Dec 31, 2022
-
I was told yesterday that we only have until Dec 31, 2022 to use our FCC from the Getaway Jan 5th cancellation. I hope that changes! Not sure we can cruise so quickly!
-
So what happens to those of us who upgraded for tomorrow's departure. Does that get refunded to our credit cards? Even if we paid for the cruise with FCC?

I just checked, and noticed all 3 of our bids are 'pending'. I have no idea which, if any will come our way!

We are waiting on Jan 5, also! Sort of patiently...

We are on the Getaway Jan 5th sailing. We are able to drive to the port, and will wear our masks on board. Going to give it a go! We may just hang out in our cabin and eat and drink haha!

@Wally4ever , I'm sorry for your ruined cruise. I hope your husband is also ok, as well as you and your daughter. I am curious, does your husband have any idea how he got it? Was he feeling not well and then went to get tested at the medical center? I am on the fence going on our cruise leaving January 5!

We are booked on the Jade out of Tampa for the 12 day Southern Caribbean, departing Jan 3 2021. Haven't heard anything yet, but I don't see how it will sail. I do wish they would cancel it earlier than later too, but gotta go with the flow, I guess. I will keep checking the boards here too, in case I don't get an email! Can't believe they didn't send one to you!!

Ship - Escape
Deck - 17 Haven
Stateroom # - 17700
Stateroom Category – Haven Owners Suite
Starboard or Port Side - Forward Starboard
Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Yes, very
Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? - No
Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Forward facing room. View was amazing looking straight ahead. There are barriers between the port and starboard cabins, but you can view a little to both sides at the railing. But then the others can see you there too. Also, balconies above can see you if you stand at the railing and they are standing at their railing too.
Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Oversized. Room for a table and 4 chairs as well as 3 loungers. And still extra space.
Was wind a problem? - Along the railing, yes. But sitting on the loungers or table, no - as they sit back from the railing quite a bit.
If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? -
Any specific problems with this cabin? - No, really a lovely room.
Any other comments? - There is a separate living/dining and bedroom/bath with a second powder room in the living area space. The closet is similar to a walkin closet in a home. Both the bedroom and living room can access the balcony. Even though it was a large room, if there are more than 2 people, the others would only have use of the pull out sofa to sleep, and the living room is the same size as a 2 bedroom suite.

I just got my Haven upgrade bid accepted today, which is Wednesday. However, I was originally booked in a smaller Haven room and I bid for a larger one. So not sure that a Monday is always the day. I would've thought that they would have accepted my bid much earlier to free up my Haven regular penthouse room. But I also bid in the 'poor' range, so maybe that is why they accepted it 3 days out. Cruise begins this weekend!

Anyone know who may be working on the Escape in April?
With staff moving around for the Bliss, maybe it's too soon to know, but thought I'd ask in case anyone knows!

Nope... Bowen is just returning from vacation. He will be on the Epic, starting tomorrow.:D
Thanks Joan! I think he said that was the ship that he was on previous to the Jewel's fantastic reposition cruise.

I guess we got really lucky ! We were in the Garden Villa in Oct/Nov 2017
in the South Pacific on the Jewel. We thought Bruno was going to be the concierge and
we found out it was Bowen we would have as our concierge. If ever I had an opportunity to cruise with Bowen again... I'd be there in a heartbeat. He went above all expectations we had of having a great cruise.. not just a good cruise, but a great cruise. A thank you was so small when we wanted it to mean so much. I hope our tip to the Garden Villa staff showed our appreciation.
If you meet Bowen, hopefully you will see what I mean.:halo:
Another shout our for Bowen!
We were also on a part of that amazing cruise, staying in the smallest room in the Haven on Jewel. We also had very close friends with us who were staying in a suite, but not the Haven, and he gave the 4 of us impeccable service!! I even saw him running back on forth on deparkation day, making sure everyone was taken care of with transportation. He was outstanding!
We have also booked the New Zealand cruise for January 2019, also on the Jewel.
Does anyone know if Bowen will still be on Jewel for then?
