Don't worry, CK and SL have gone the way of the MDR and are very casual these days.  We see shorts and t-shirts during the day but also at dinner.  We have seen star class families in beach attire, escorted in by their genie, seated for breakfast and lunch.  You will be just fine with bed head! 😄

Perfect!  My last read before we fly to Houston tomorrow. Glad to hear it!

  2. Johnny Rockets milkshakes are covered under the deluxe and refreshment drink plans.

To answer the other question, yes, you can wait until board to book shows and dining once on board through concierge IF you are really flexible.  If not, you may want to do it before you board.

If you don't want to do it through cruise planner, you will get an email from your concierge several days before the cruise.  You can ask them to make those reservations then.

  3. I replied to the email and typed in the spreadsheet they provided.  I couldn't copy and paste it either.

I noticed some conflicting info with what I know about Allure.  They did not mention beer and wine from 11-11, only 5-8.  We shall see when we board.

  4. I just got my email from our concierge for our cruise this Sunday.  Previous info here shared there is free beer and wine from 11-11. I received the following in my letter.

Do they just not mention it?  Also, it says that it’s smart casual. Is that for dinner or does that also mean during the day?  Im

just wondering if anything may have changed.

    From letter:

The dress code in the Suite Lounge is smart casual, so please make sure you pack accordingly.

Coffee and tea are available in the Lounge throughout the day.

Hors d'oeuvres, petit fours and complimentary wine, spirits, beer, and soft drinks are available for our Suite guests every evening from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

  5. We are on the same sailing!  We are staying in a Crown Loft Suite.  Our first suite on an Oasis class ship.  We also have a 3 night dining package and plan on asking the concierge for help with reservations.  The formal nights on our cruise are nights 2 and 6.

I’m looking forward to the email too!  I’ll keep an eye on the spam folder if we don’t get anything by Tuesday.  See you on board!

Yes, I have seen the buy 3 treatments discounted onboard, usually towards the middle or end of a sailing.  Such as mini facial, mini upper body massage and foot massage for $99.

They do not give diamond discount off any onboard specials.  Same goes for the 20% discount offered on port days.

Oh!  I didn't realize they do not give the diamond discount on onboard specials or port day massages.  Thanks for that information!

  7. I know that Royal Caribbean’s sales are always a sale LOL.  I am wondering if the pre-cruise prices of $103.99 on first day and $118.99 (port day) for 50 minute massages are a good deal.  We are diamond members and I believe we get a 15% discount.

Will there be better port day prices on the ship?  Plus the 15% discount?  I am guessing that reserving online means we do not get to use our 15% diamond discount.

I am just wondering if you tend to get the same deal booking ahead of time or waiting until you board the ship for massage discounts.  Thanks in advance!

  8. Know what I'm thinking?  I'm thinking he is wondering if you didn't know you prepaid the gratuities and he felt guilty for not saying anything LOL $120 is very generous.  You did say 14 days.  Some won't pay anything extra if they didn't make special requests and some would give a little more just because.  Yours was very generous and I can't imagine they were actually disappointed.

  9. I think one of the other problems people have found cruising from Galveston is that Lyft or Uber were not reliable transportation if you stay close to the port.  The drivers don't make as much money as they do driving from Houston to the port.  I read that they rejected requests because of it.  That made me really nervous thinking I needed to hire a private car or get on a shuttle.

ONLY THE 11:00 am to 11:00 pm drink availability.  Quantum class generally does not have this benifit.

Oh okay….sorry i thought you were answering the questions.  You were commenting about the 11-11 availability on oasis class ships.  We will be on Allure for this cruise.  Thanks!
