Yes, it was. We were on the Harmony during the hurricane and did the second week, too.

I am sailing on the Grandeur on Aug 30 New England Cruise. Has anyone ever done the LL Bean Excursion? What did you like or dislike about it? Was it worth it? Is it mainly shopping? Do you get to visit the factory?

Are you going to Freeport, Maine? I have been there many times and love the whole city. It has great outlet shopping, too.

I would be very happy to keep the Anthem in Bayonne...it is certainly new and "techy" enough, but it's biggest advantage is the two indoor pools, and the indoor seaplex, that make it ideal for cold weather cruising....much better than it's NCL rival across the bay....;)

I was on the Summit in July and found that Blu quality had gone down from last year. Yes service was top notch, but food quality and the selection of foods had changed for the worse, since 2013. Just my opinion.

It's worth the upgrade IF you plan on drinking 2-3 a day. Don't forget the upgrades include all bars on the ship and you can get upgraded booze in your normal drinks, and that's an improvement. I know, been there, done that.

You can get a martini in the martini bar, just tell them and it comes in a smaller glass. Drink 2 instead of 1, that's all. Enjoy, that's the most important thing, you work hard to go on vacation.

As I understand it, the Summit is the testing ground for all new ideas that we have been giving X over the past months and years. The "new" serving style is only on the Summit, as I understand it. It seems overall the board likes it as it does offer portion control (won't put on as many pounds) but you can take as much as you'd like if you're a big eater like I am. The variety of food is the same, just laid out a little differently. There some other changes they are trying, however, you'd have to look on the boards for that info. If you're going to Bermuda this summer check it out and let us know your thoughts.

Laundry is usually taken in the evening when they turn down your bed and it is returned the next day before dinner.

We were on Summit last year in AQ, 11th floor. No plumbing issues or anything else for that matter. Blu is the best. It's the old X at its best. Great food, fantastic service. In fact we were just upgraded to AQ for our cruise next week. 9th floor this time. Love Blu.
