Thanks! Is it something people have or just don't  bother with?! Don't want to look stupid! 😂

Since you asked,  I've never bothered with them in nearly 40 years of cruising.  I am of the opinion that the people who need lanyards wore mitten clips as children.  YMMV.

No port day cruises would not bother me in the least.  Surprised they are not already available.  To those of us that have already been to Cozumel many times it would be a nice change of pace.  But I guess they need to make some stops along the way to get more food, alcohol, and supplies.

As of 2016, "cruises to nowhere" have been unavailable from US ports.

I think the over all problem is you are just tired of NCL's particular brand of crap. Cruise on another line for awhile until you get sick of their brand of crap. It is why we try really hard to not do consecutive cruises on any particular cruise line.

    Except for Harvest Cay.

Everyone should boycott Harvest Cay. It isn't Belize. It is a deal between NCL and the Belize government. The people from Belize lost big on the Harvest Cay scam. What is even worse is unless you have an excursion on the mainland purchased thru NCL you have to pay extra to get to the mainland and only are allowed on if and when there is room on the tender that goes from Harvest Cay to the mainland.

I've seen the Belize mainland.  I prefer Harvest Caye.

  4. I've never had an issue booking dining reservations on the ship.  Do not stress it.

shof515's recommendation above is solid if you are wanting a reservation at a peak time.  If your preference is to dine early, you should have no problems.

I was just looking at the rewards for bronze latitudes members. Does anyone know what kind of sparkling wine will be provided and is there a non-alcoholic version available?

It is below the quality of wine that Carnival offers as their "free bottle" in the steakhouse.  Given that Carnival's steakhouses are about the same level as Western Sizzler, I'll leave it to you to determine if it is potable or not.

I've never seen a special on the water packages on board. We always pre-purchase the package.

Ignore those who say the water out of the tap is the same as in the restaurants. It isn't. It is chlorinated and smells (and tastes) like pool water. Sometimes its off-color and heavily chlorinated. The water in the buffet, restaurants and bars does not have the chlorine taste, as it is carbon filtered, but it is still often "flat" tasting to me. On longer cruises it's often distilled from sea water that is re-mineralized to make it suitable for drinking (shorter cruises, or ones that don't get too far from shore often just use tap water from the port, then it's treated with pool chlorine). Don't worry about safety with the distilled water; while too much distilled water is bad, the ship's water is safe after this processing, and their safety standards are very stringent.  But to me it tastes like $3 wine does to a wine connoisseur.

And remember, Evian spelled backwards is N-A-I-V-E
