Its buried a bit in there but this is a quote of the section...

During that news conference, ministers announced a series of new measures to limit the spread of COVID-19:

    • International flights will only be permitted to land at a smaller number of airports. Those locations have not yet been announced.
    • A ban on boats and cruise ships carrying more than 500 people from docking at Canadian ports until July.
    • A recommendation that all travellers arriving in Canada from international points self-isolate for 14 days.

Personally I would book another cruise while aboard and take advantage of the perks that celebrity offers for on board bookings.    Cancel your existing booking and ask TA's what they would offer for your booking.

Attached is an example of what Celebrity regularly offers for on board bookings.   If you book a future cruise booking you will have about 3 months to book something with the certificate.

Thanks for your response but I don't see how its relevant to my question. I'm not asking what they offer when booking onboard i am aware of that. I'd be using the Celebrity future cruise to apply to an RC sailing which is already booked before the celebrity sailing and i want to know if it is possible to apply the certificate.

You would have to cancel the booked cruise then rebook under the reservation # on the open passages.

Or, you could rebook the cruise then cancel the 1st booking.

Cancel which booking? The cruise for next year? Why would I have a reservation number when purchasing an open next cruise certificate not assigned to a specific sailing?

  8. So i have a somewhat unusual set of circumstances here. I'm going on a Celebrity ship in a few weeks booked with TA # 1 and I've already booked another cruise today on a royal caribbean ship for next year with TA # 2 for which i've already made a deposit. My reasons for booking with a different TA next time was because they had a much better deal advertised that I couldn't get TA #1 to match.

So my question is this. Is it possible and would there be any benefit in me buying an open Next cruise certificate on the Celebrity ship in a few weeks then transferring it to TA #2 to apply to the already booked royal caribbean trip next year? Would I still get the extra OBC?

  9. Very interesting. The Sweet Suite is showing as available if anyone wants it! We're already scheduled on another cruise for that week.

I just switched from another promenade room to 6305. :)

Can anyone give me a rundown on the current perks for the "sweet". I recall from reading older threads in the past that you got ice cream every day for both guests and concierge lounge access and a few other things like priority ice show tickets, etc. Is this still the case?
