Do they do pirate night on the 3 day cruises?
-
I will be sailing on the Dream in Nov. Taking a 3 day. I've been on Carnival before but this will be my 1st Disney cruise. I love Disney and love cruising so this should be amazing.
-
We did dolphinarius and really enjoyed it. But don't go for the food as the food was awful.

You are a chair hog in my book. Why couldn't you enjoy your chairs for an hour or two and then go find something else to do. Really? You sit there until 2 in the afternoon?
Seems a bit selfish.
wow really???? I think if somone wants to sit out all day on the deck they have every right to. Maybe that's what she likes to do. Who are you to tell her how she should spend her vacation. I plan to spend more than an hr or 2 by the pool most days.

Does anyone know how long it takes to get Carnival gift cards on the mail when going through a 3rd party? For example I am ordering some for my cruise from Southwest Airline. Can anyone tell me how long it should take to receive them?
-
I would never risk flying the day of a cruise. I've seen people recently that planned to fly the day before and still missed the ship leaving due to snow storms. I wouldnt risk it.
-
Glad you said this before we got any. We plan on getting as many $100 cards as we can tomorrow afterm we get my mom's plane ticket to come out for the cruise.
KMAN how long did it take you to receive the gift cards?

Thank you so much for this heads up! I have been wanting to score some discounted gift cards, but don't use Verizon, Citibank, etc. I had used a mess of points to get flights for my parents to come in and join us on October cruise, but was happy I had enough left to get $300 -- almost pays for Cheers (or my half, anyways)! :p
Note that the $500 amount offered are NOT gift cards, but are gift CERIFICATES --- these are the ones that cannot be used for onboard account and can only be used to apply to outstanding balance on cruise fare. Already learned that lesson the hard way. The $100 amount offered are actual physical gift cards like you can buy at grocery stores that can be used for anything.
Now, just hoping Carnival runs another Father's Day promo like last year...
Glad you said this before we got any. We plan on getting as many $100 cards as we can tomorrow afterm we get my mom's plane ticket to come out for the cruise.

I will let you know. It will be my hubby doing it.

We will be using our rapid reward points.

Can you book FTTF this late out?

Trolling..........thats a good one....love it. I have been on boards that were started over a year out and there have been a couple that someone had "signed" on early, got into the conversations, planning, opinions, gung ho all for the cruise, then at the last minute...someone in the "family" got a devistating diagnosis and they had to cancel, only to find out all along they hadn't even booked the cruise. By the way, they usually had over 10,000 posts, in less than two years..........professional poster. Always someone with tooooo much time.......
Think that's bad you should see the trolls on mommy boards. I've seen woman fake pregnancy that end in miscarriage more times then I would like to. Most of the time they are pregnant with twins. They keep this up for months before being caught.

I never knew what Friends of Bill or Dorothy was until I cruised and saw it listed on the Fun Times and found out what it meant. Happy to see you were able to enjoy these meetings on board.
-
For us it is bc my husband's company pays for his tickets and he travels weekly. And we would never use all his miles by just purchasing flights so we use them to purchase stuff. So now instead of spending $1000 on board I won't have to spend anything.
-
You are now able to get Carnival GC by using Southwest Airlines points. My husband travels a lot so he will use his points to get my OBC. We already paid off my cruise using GC from Verizon but this is much better.
-
I have ATD but I keep thinking of changing it. I picked ATD so we can eat when ready and not at a certain time. I don't mind sitting with others in fact I enjoy meeting new people

Is this on the Triumph?

Go to the casino and put your S&S card into a slot machine put all your money left into the slot then hit cash out and take it to cashier and get cash.
-
Thank you so much! My husband has been checking everyday for them. I told him as soon as I saw this this morning and we were able to get 2 $500 ecards and saved $100 for my cruise. Used them to pay most of my balance.
-
No. Also, if you'd read the thread, you'd have the answer to this question.
So what do you do if all the chairs are being used by actual people and you can't watch your kids? Just wondering bc you keep saying you NEED to be by the pool to watch your kids but what if you just can't bc all the chairs are taken?
-
None of my replies have any questionable suggestions of retaliation because that's not my style. I get the feeling that you're old enough to know that those who make those comments are the people you actually have to worry least about in real life situations.
I'm glad you've never had troubles with hoggers, but I do move things to be near my kids in the pool. That is my responsibility and I take it seriously. I can't let a flip flop in a "saved" chair keep me from watching my kids. I AM passionate about them and their safety, as well as the comfort of other cruisers around my children. :)
For me, personally, I wish the lines would do a better job of policing hoggers for this very reason. Parents shouldn't have to wander around to find a chair when there's 27 around the pool with magazines in them or a back flipped up. The employees of the cruise lines SHOULD take care of this, but, for now, they don't.
So let's say I am by the pool with no kids. I get up to get in the pool or use the bathroom. Does that mean you take my chair bc you have to watch your kids so you have more of a right to it then I do without kids?

The one I see says they pick my stateroom. I already have one booked, and have my room picked already. Can I use this deal and get the lower price if I booked lowest rate guarenteed? If so do I loose my room and they pick a new one ?

Chuck E Cheese also doesn't require that a 16 yo leave with an adult. A 16 can come and go as they please. Which is the age of the OP friend. So the Chuck E Cheese reference doesn't hold any water.
Also it's not even fool proof. My son had a bday party there once. A friend asked us to bring his son home. He went to the front and got a sticker to give us with his son's #. When we left the young kid working looked at all our #s but didn't pay attention. We began walking out with no mention of his # not matching ours. I stepped back and asked him if he needed to see the other #. He was like "oh yeah". So please don't rely on that safety measure.
As soon as I got to the car I called and made them aware of what happend then told the boys mom to also call. No safe at all.

I booked it also. Got a cabin on panorama deck. My PVP called me and told me about it
Is it possible to limit casino spending?
in Ask a Cruise Question
Posted
It's very easy to limit. When you get to the casino place as much as you want to spend that night or maybe for the entire cruise. Say each night you only want to spend $20. So when you place your card in it asks you and you say $20. Don't add anymore after that 20 is gone. If you win and want to stop either leave your winnings for the next day or cash out.
