  1. Hi all!

We've never cruised out of Seattle before and I'm wondering if you think an 11am flight is too early? It's the only direct flight I can find and I'd really like to fly direct! We're sailing NCL, we will have carry on luggage only. How early do people usually arrive at the airport for flights out of Seattle and do you think it's doable? We're flying to Canada.

    Thanks so much!

  2. Thanks for posting your questions - I had some of the same! I hope you don't mind me asking a quick side-question - our plan was to head from the airport to downtown on the light rail prior to the cruise and then after we get off the ship, same thing - head back to the airport on the light rail. Will this be challenging if we only have carry ons and backpacks?

    Thanks so much!

  3. We are sailing in the NCL Bliss in an inside cabin on the maiden voyage in Alaska. We picked it because we have a YouTube channel and wanted to be the first to have videos up about it. That being said, you can't beat sailing a brand new ship. We also prefer NCL over RCCL so if it were us we would be sticking with the BLISS. Good luck.

So exciting! I will be watching YouTube for your videos :)

  4. Hi all! I haven't been here in quite awhile...! Our last cruise was a family vacation 2 years ago on the Disney Fantasy. We've cruised NCL twice prior to that, and RCCL once prior.

We are currently booked on NCL's Bliss to Alaska in 2018, however RCCL is having a great sale right now, so we're considering the Explorer. This is meant to be a quick and 'cheap' getaway just for my husband and I, so the lower price is really very tempting. We are in an inside stateroom on the Bliss and would be in a promenade room on the Explorer. The savings will be around $1300 Canadian in the end, which is huge.

THING IS! The sale at RCCL ends tonight, so we're feeling pressure to decide. I would appreciate any and all opinions :) Thanks so much!!

ps. I know most people want a balcony for Alaska, but we're content with being on the inside :)

  5. Thanks so much! We're very excited :)

The itinerary actually includes San Juan instead of St. Maarten, but I'm sure we'll be back to St. Maarten another time so I will keep that tour in mind - thanks!

  6. Hi there!

We're sailing the Fantasy in January - Eastern Caribbean Itinerary B. We haven't sailed Disney before, so we can only book 75 days out and I want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row! I'd like to try to reserve my daughter a spot at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique for Formal night and so I'm wondering if there is a way to know what night that will be.

    Thanks so much!!

  7. Hi there,

I've cruised out of San Juan before, but it was about 6 years ago and there were no kids involved at the time - just me and my husband. This time, we'll be docking there with Disney and we'll have my mom and her husband along as well as our kids who will be 3.5 and 11 months at the time of sailing.

I'm not huge on San Juan beaches and I think we'll enjoy just walking around and seeing the sights, but I can't remember the layout of the area. I understand we can take a free trolley to El Morro and then maybe just enjoy the sights/shops on the way back towards the pier.

Does anyone have any other suggestions for our group? I'm also unsure of where Disney docks, so I suppose that might be a factor as well.

    Thanks so much!!

  8. I have a question about the car rental option. My husband and I have always driven to Florida for our cruises, so I'm unfamiliar with anything other than just parking at a hotel for the week.

If we rent a car at the airport the day before the cruise and drop it at the location closest to the Port, I understand there is a shuttle. Will the shuttle take all 6 of us to the Port? In terms of pick up from the Port afterwards, do you set up a time before hand or call once you're through customs?

    Thanks!

  9. Hi there!

I've just booked a Disney Fantasy cruise for January 2015 and we've selected cabins 9052 and 9054. One room will have my family - me and my husband, 1 toddler, 1 baby, and the other room will have my mom and her husband. They are connecting balcony rooms. Has anyone stayed in either room before? Just curious as to what you thought of them.

    Thanks!

  10. Another post from me! I haven't cruised in two or three years now, so I'm getting pretty excited :)

We're going to be sailing on Fantasy (me, husband, 3 year old, 9 month old) and my question is this - do we need the 'deluxe family oceanview veranda' suite, or would the 'oceanview veranda suite' be enough? I understand that the latter is about 50sq ft smaller, but is there any other difference? do the regular balcony rooms have the nice round tub/rainshower head combo like I understand the family veranda rooms have?

Thanks so much for your advice!
