While they aren't as fancy as some of the staterooms, the rooms midship and closest to the bottom deck will have the least motion. We have learned to always try to get ours in that location. It is simple physics. We took a Norwegian cruise "around the Horn" a few years ago and the seas were really rough but our cabin stayed comfortable.

Best excursion ever in 6 cruises! Extended to the 4 hour trip. Carlos was awesome. Let them know ahead of time if you want to do anything special. I mentioned that i would like to try paddleboarding and carlos said that if we told them ahead of time he wouldve had paddleboards. You and your kids are going to have a blast!!!.

On the 2nd day, in Coco Cay, it rained some so a lot of people went back to the ship early. Many were still around the pools because it was hot and was just drizzling on and off. We went to the Solarium Pool and it was overrun by young kids. When I asked why children were allowed in the "Adult Only" pool the attendant said they were allowed in there when the weather was bad. (I never heard that before.)

 

A quote from Royal Caribbean about the Solarium policy: "During inclement weather and select hours, the ship may permit the Solarium pool to be used by guests under age 16 provided they are directly supervised by a parent or guardian."

 

You indicated that it rained and a lot of people went back to the ship early. That explains why children were using the Solarium that day.

We are also on Deck 2 with you. Will be boarding about 11:00 as well. No plans on waiting until 2-3 to board.

How did this work out for you? We will be sailing in mid-May. We will fly into Miami from the West Coast and plan to go directly to the port for boarding. Other members of our party are coming in from TX and NY.

Since two of us are diabetic, waiting around to board and get lunch could result in a medical emergency.
