We just got off the Ruby Princess on Saturday June 16th. It was another wonderful cruise to Alaska, our 14th. The weather was good. If you've got Questions I've got Answers.

We leave this Saturday for our first Alaskan cruise on the Ruby. What was your favorite things on the ship that we might not realize we must do/experience/ make sure to explore?

We are keen on the idea of the Sanctuary. Did you have any time there?

Looking for Catamaran Trip for the day. Any suggestions?

The shuttles are really a nightmare when it comes to getting your baggage at the terminal. I highly recommend you take a cab or UBER. We had our luggage loaded first into the "transport" vehicle then had to sit on the bus for close to an hour to get the rest of the luggage loaded. Then had to wait at the airport for them to unload all of the luggage to get ours. Not a good plan as far as we were concerned. So we now use a taxi.

I just placed a bid and I'm wondering what is the avg time to wait on receiving an accept or deny notification...how long has others had to wait? Can it really take up to two days before the cruise to find out?

We cruised in July on NCL. Bid on 2 Havens. Didn't find out we were declined until the morning 2days out. So yes it can take that long.

Hi -

We are crazy people and just booked a week out for the July 22nd Gem cruise out of NY. Do you think we might get a chance to bid or no? We are in a mini suite. We have upgraded to the Haven last year, through the secret phone number. So this bid process is all new for us.
