I am confused by your post. You said you don’t care for the bigger ships but than said you are going on Breeze again and it is your favorite ship. Breeze and Vista are basically the same size (130 GT vs 133.5 GT) so the majority of your post implies you like the bigger ships. I do agree that picking Breeze over Horizon would be an easy choice in my book, unless you had a strong desire to do a Southern Caribbean cruise.

I'm sorry I probably should have said the newer ships we don't really care for we've been on the Vista and really don't like the layouts the theater smaller the dining rooms are a little different we just liked whichever class it is the breeze in the magic and the dream I guess so it's not so much the size of the ships the newer ships just have a different layout

Hi all! I’m reluctantly beginning to accept the fact that we will be canceling our Spring Break cruise plans (Breeze Eastern March 21). While the virus itself doesn’t scare me (two healthy adults in early 40s and two young kids ages 4 and 6), the risk of a quarantine with 2 kids in a 185-square foot room or some other unforeseeable situation does concern me. In looking at alternative options to use the FCC this summer, I see 2 cruises that interest me: the exact Breeze Eastern itinerary we are already booked on (Amber Cove, St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk) or the Horizon 8 night Southern itinerary (Aruba, Curaçao, La Romana, Amber Cove). All ports but St. Thomas would be new to us.

We haven’t previously sailed Carnival (prior family cruises have been on Oasis class ships). Given our kids’ ages, and taking into account the bells and whistles and general condition of each ship, as well as the different ports, which itinerary would you recommend?

Any advice from the expert Carnival cruisers would be appreciated!

We have been on the breeze in Vista class ships and do not care for the bigger ships don't like the layouts just our opinion we are going out the breeze again in November and it has become our favorite ship as for itineraries we've been to all the islands and it's more of a preference than anything else it's kind of just what you like and hard to decide between all of them as for our choice it would be the breeze

We did 14 cruises years ago  and have been away a long time.  Just an elegant night question as far as the men. Do most of you wear a jacket and tie or are just a dress shirt and slacks OK  Thank you

We like to dress up tux ,fancy dresses it really doesn't matter what other people wear .and we never feel uncomfortable

We will have a group with 4 generations on our cruise next month.  I want to get the white background portraits taken of all of us.

I would like to hear from those who have done this - does it matter what people wear - multi colors OK or does it look better if clothes are coordinated?

We had on done on white background a few years ago .Bright colors and brite smiles make the picture pop

That's a Coke product. Maybe he can develop a taste for Mr. Pibb which is a Pepsi product. I've done it in a pinch and they both contain prune juice! 🙂

Actually if you look pibb is a Coke product also

We are sailing on a 6 day in a few weeks (20th thru 26th), but not on Halloween day. Is the week prior considered a Halloween cruise or just the week of? Thanks.

    The whole month every cruise

Same here. We did a Halloween cruise once on Royal. Boring for sure and crowded in the atrium where they all gathered. Carnival does it the best. Always Carnival on every Halloween cruise every year. This year the Magic, Next year booked to the new Mardi Gras and 2021 booked for the Elation. I dress as Captain Kirk. My wife a scary goblin. So much fun and the costumes are awesome. I have never seen one get our of hand. Just a lot of fun. Live long and prosper.

We are on the magic Oct 12th

Has anyone had luck tipping your cabin stewards up front?

Even thou we always pre-pay our gratuities, I got into a habit of giving our steward a $20 bill up front when they introduce themselves. This has seamed to always make a great cabin steward / customer relationship for the week. with thee exception one time. I believe it was a 4 day voyage, I tipped up front, and never seen him again till the last day leaving my room. Curious if anyone else does the same?

    Happy Sailing!

    we also do the same

  8. We have been on a number of Halloween cruises and are happy they are again doing it in every cruise for all of October again . I can tell you that lots of people do dress up for it and they have lots of activities. You can dress for dinner and have fun the whole night .We just booked the magic in October and look forward to the Halloween party

If so, where and what tour company? We have been on cruises before but we really want to have a ton of fun on this one since it will be our honeymoon.

    TIA!!
