  1. Thanks so much! I think we are going to book one of those balcony cabins on the side. We like to try new things LOL! Hard to tell, but does anyone know if the balconies are covered up there?

It will be a bit surreal to be in a cabin in the very place I used to do my power walks. As I recall it does get pretty windy in that area. That's probably why those all the way at the front have floor to ceiling windows rather than balconies.

I was able to get an awesome upgrade for my daughter and her friends in two of the new Panoramic Views on deck 12; however, I was unable to find any photos. So hope to post more photos soon as we set sail on Sunday, March 30. Stay tuned.

  2. Fog delays this late in the year are rare, but this has been quite a wacky winter for us.:p

In my experience, disembarking from the Roatan/Belize itinerary is quite a bit slower because of CBP. Two years ago we were in the first regular tag group, escorted off by the concierge, and it took us three hours to get off and clear customs! I think even if conditions are perfect, if you can handle your own bags that's the way to go if you have a flight to catch.

Sorry but have to ask. What is CBP? I have had fun trying to figure it out. Certified boring people? Crazy bitchy personnel?

  3. Curious to know if you are having to change your clocks at any other ports. Am worried because my DD and three of her friends are traveling with us - they are in their 20's and told me they are buying the full blown drink package. I asked, "do ya'll plan on staying drunk the whole time?" And she said "well hell yes!!!"

Sigh..... DH says he is not going to loose a minute of sleep worrying about them but I won't get a minute of sleep worrying about them.

Maybe I need to buy the full blow drink package and Chillax!!

  4. Chops is not what it used to be either. We were on NOS for the Feb 9 sailing after all the changes and updates and got a surprise with the Chops menu changes. There is another long thread about Chops and all of the changes being tested on the NOS. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED.

We have only been to Chops once but I remember having a wonderful filet mignon and I believe it is still on the menu so fingers crossed. Regardless, it will give me a reprieve from my in laws (6 of them). I love them all but sometimes you need a break.

  5. That one has me puzzled as well. I did this cruise two weeks ago and there was no time change. Besides our clocks went forward this weekend, so that would mean that you are now two hours behind us, but all the ports are on CST? Am I missing something?

    Great review BTW. :)

Well I know that Mexico does not change to daylight savings until April 6th but even so I thought you always stayed on ship time???

  6. We are in Coppell, if you go to coppell isd you can view 2014-2015 and 2015-2016 calendars in PDF. Not sure how to import them here. They have been approved by teachers and the school board so they are set.

We don't get anything for Easter as Good Friday is always weather day! So more often than not end up at school.

Spring break next year is Monday march 9th through 13th

    Hope that helps

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks for doing the review, we are going on NOS later this year so am looking forward to the latest info, really hope you enjoy your cruise:)

Welcome to TX as well! I am guessing 5 hours out your around the Dallas area at a guess.

It makes me laugh though that RC didn't know when spring break is in TX. We have already got our daughters school district calendar for the next two years in case anyone needs them;)

Yes, I would like the spring break calendars please. And also your location. We are in the dfw area. Have been trying to figure something out in case we decide to book something while onboard. Have to figure out Easter as well. Thanks!

  8. Thanks so much for this review. Will be sailing NOS March 30th. Our last RCCL was two years ago on Mariner and the bed was so incredibly horrible that I thought I would never cruise again. The next year we cruised Alaska with HAL and their beds were so very comfortable! Am hoping NOS has new beds and would like to know what you think about them. Thanks.

  9. I have a question for all of you Houstonians and Galvestonians. We are sailing Navigator March 30th but plan on driving early on Friday from DFW area to League City to stay at South Shore Harbour and do the San Jacinto thing on Sat. The last two times we drove to Galveston, we took the Sam Houston tollway West to bypass I45. Should we do the same or take the tollway East to League City? Is it completely open now? Do we have to have toll tags? Thanks!
