  1. Hi we are Denise and Anthony from Melbourne, Australia

We were originally due to sail on this cruise and the north west passage cruise to Vancouver tomorrow (14 April 2021). We realised mid way through last year that the cruise might be cancelled, so we rebooked for 18 aprill 2022  and were able to have the stateroom of our choice.

We are really looking forward to finally being able to sail on viking, not only from Honk Kong to Tokyo, but also on to Vancouver.

    Cheers

    Denise

  2. And that's a huge part of the problem. Azamara publishes its itineraries very early. On the one hand many of us like that, on the other hand it leads to situations like these. The itineraries all the way through December 2018 have been out for quite a while already. On the other hand, Seabourn, my other line of choice, only has itineraries available through October 2017 - 15 months less. That makes early planing difficult but the chance of unexpected charters much smaller... Not sure what I prefer!

This is a big problem for many people... no matter how far out they book. Seabourn are worse than Azamara. I was booked on a b2b and tgey chartered the second one onky about 10 mths out. They offered us absolutely no compensation. We were told we should just be happy to have our deposit back! However, due to currency fluctuations we came out behind for a cruise ee didnt get to take.

There needs to be a better way than cancelling cruisesbthat people are already booked on...

  3. Thanks very much for the advice about special dining options and at the moment after hearing the great meals Host Andy and his family have had at Prime C, I am thinking that might be the place for my birthday dinner

Thanks also Grandma Cruisingfor the great information on ports we will go to on our cruise. This certainly adds to our anticipation.

Have a wonderful last few days Host Andy and once again thank for your hard work. You are a gem 😊:😆

  4. Hi Host Andy and all the other posters on this and the dry dock thread.

Thank you so much for the fantastic information and pictures you have provided. I have thoroughly enjoyed them all.

I will be a first time Azamara cruiser on 10 December in a CC suite when my good friend and myself will be sailing on Journey from Hong Kong through Vietnam and Thailand to Singapore.

We booked this cruise last May.... long before I heard there was a drydock planned. You can imagine how excited and interested I have been reading these threads and learning about the changes.

I am counting the months until it is my turn to experience the reimagined Journey and the wonderful crew.

As I have a rather significant birthday our first night at sea (the main reason for our trip), my big decision now is where to dine that night. Any suggestions?

Once again, thanks for the lively discussions.
