thanks so mucho for the review, we love HAL. Good food and everything ok. We are going on the same Cruise `but starting in Montreal.

Could you post the mail from the guide in Sydney and other places please? We are 4 of us, wanted to take a taxi to take us round. What do you think?

  2. What would you sugest to do in Langkawi?

We are not going to the beach, so we thought first to resérvate a taxi to go round to see villages. But now I think maybe we could go up the hill to enjoy the views and after maybe get in to a speedboat!

  3. We used tours by locals - poo is her name. She is excellent. We used her in 2015 and 2014 and both times faultless. She gives a wonderful insight in her country. Thoroughly recommend her.

Could you send me her mail please?

  4. We have four hours to wait at marina Bay terminal for our planned transfer to Changi. Is there really nothing to do there - no cafes, no shops etc as their website makes no mention of these. Wondering whether to try to rearrange our transfer.

you can keep your suitcases inside the terminal, so just go out, plenty things to see allround it.

Better tan to stay in the airport.

  5. ohhh John Bull just seen your last message hahaha telling what I was asking for.

We have been once on a rented boat, was ok but it just took us to the important tourist points.

  6. Hallo, today I need a Little help :)

Have been quiet a few times to Bangkok,(seen all palaces, etc) but now this time we will have 3 days left and I would like to organize something diferent.

Dont mind to take a guide, maybe would be good to see the floating market which is about 80km far way, and the market which is on top of the rails from the train.

    What would you sugest???

any guide? for Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Landkawi, Penang, Phuket

  7. We will be there end of dicember, never thought it was soooo far. Dont know if we should get a privat car before instead of talking to all the taxis who sure ask for a lot of money. We will stay there over night.

1º day we arrive 6pm, so this day we maybe could go to the shopping center and next day to KL

  8. Just back from my cruise We had a great day inKomodo, with the agency

gotokomodo.com, which was a tour round where the dragons are, after a trip to pink beach for snorkeling with a lovely lunch on the ship.

We paid 100$, but if you are about 8 people like us, the Price was 85$

  9. Just back from my cruise.

Left the luggage in the 2º floor Harbourfront in "left luggage", was very easy, paid 40 Singapur$ from 8 am till 6 pm.

Taxi from Harbourfront to the airport was only 25 Singapur $, but depends the traffic is about 30.

  10. Can anyone advice if it's feasible to get a 9:20 a.m. flight when our ship (NCL Star) is supposed to dock in Singapore at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 11th?

I would be too nervious, because you have to pass customs in Singapur again. Find a taxi, ride to the airport, and be there at least 2-3h before the flight leaves.

  11. Our cruise docks in Singapore at 7am, but our flight home is not until 11pm. Although our cruise offers tours which terminate at the airport, this would get us to the airport at 3pm which is way too early.

Can someone recommend a hotel which offers a Day Room, so we can store our bags, view the city and shower ready for our trip home?

    Many thanks

same happens to us next week.

You can leave the luggage in the Harbourfront where the ship is. In both levels you get the service to keep your luggage there for not much money.

If your ship is in Marina Bay, you get the same service there.

  12. We stopped in Jeju 1 year ago and there is nothing to do. We went with a taxi to the town and had a walk round. Plenty sports shop, a food market and nothing else. Was really borring.

  13. Labuan Bajo is the closest Island / town to Komodo Island and where the airport is located, and where those flying in arrive. It is a 4 hour boat ride each way to get to Komodo Island or 2 hours each way by fast boat.

If you are arriving by ship you need a guide who will meet you on Komodo Island!

i asked HAL where they arrive, and our guide will be waiting for us there.Told me can not get lost, hope so!

  14. We will be arriving in Phu My beginning March 2016 at 0700 and departing at 2000. Have approached several private tours and am in the process of deciding what to do. We really wanted to visit the Cu Chi Tunnels but understand that it is a long car ride. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the long car ride or should we just visit HCMC. Your comments would be appreciated. Thank you.

We have been there, wouldnt do this tour again.

Very good to go to the Delta de Mekong, beautifull tour, was one of the Highlights with Halong Bay we had in Vietnam. I really recomend the delta del Mekong tour, takes good 2h to get there, but we had enough time to get back to the ship.

We traveled with an old wooden boat in the jungle with big bambu tres and beautifull flowers, and it was just great

We had a tourguide for the delta de Mekong, but if you have enought time and a good organisation you can do it yourself.

  15. We will be 1 day in Jakarta? Just trying to find out what we can do all day long. we will get a taxi for the 4 of us.

    What will you sugest?

    Fatahillah Square

    National Monument (Monas)

old antique part of the town

    Merdeka

    sightseeing round the town

  16. Anyone recently taken the cable car? I'm talking the enclosed gondola, not the open-seat ski lift. My wife is acrophobic, but tolerates flying due to comfort of the fuselage enclosure. I'm hoping to convince her to ride the cable car up and back on our forthcoming visit to Mutianyu. We are both too old and time-limited to walk up and back!

Four questions:1. Do the gondola windows begin about shoulder height when seated? 2. What is the approximate in-transit time from bottom to top station? 3. Is there significant side-to-side sway to the gondola car while in transit? 4.How far is the walk from visitor center to the bottom gondola terminal ticket booth? Is it good footing and not very steep?

Would particularly like to hear from recent users who may have experienced partners with similar fears, and how they resolved them!

I was there a few months ago, and closed my eyes because i was afraid which I am normally not. This was the 2º time, the 1º time when we past the towers it always moved terribly.

I would go to the other entrance, less people, and more original.

Last time was very disapointed, 1000 of people, pushing going up and after down. Even a little Bar was on the top which I think is not right.

The taxi told us to go to a dif. one , but my friend insisted in going to the same we went 2007 and the diference was so big. Very disapointed
