  1. Just off the Rotterdam, we had HIA that did not have gratuities on it, but we had considerable non refundable on board credit.  We used it for gratuities (deducted daily), upgraded internet and on board shopping.  We had refundable credit from our TA that we received in cash before disembarking.

  2. We have never had CO, but are 5 star.  We will be boring in Amsterdam in the fall and for the cruise we will have CO so it will be interesting to see what happens.  A lot of the problems IMO are the passengers who sometimes ignore the check in times on the boarding passes and want to get on the ship as fast as possible. BTW, the worst boarding for us has been in San Diego and Auckland, even being in a NS did not help us.

  3. We had the butler package - Rotterdam Jan 4-14.  There were 8 of us in our group, escorted right from our cabin,  to the tender, transportation arranged right to the cabana.  We were wined and dined the whole time.  We chose what we wanted for lunch (several days ahead), 2 choices, Mahi Mahi or steak.  Also served were lobster rolls, cold mango soup, tropical salad, fruit trays etc.   Was it worth the $$ - an overwhelming yes.  The butlers were from the Pinnacle Grill and they were excellent.

  4. You will never get the OBC from HAL back - use it or lose it.  If you get OBC from your TA, you will get back any unused portion of that.  Sadly, I left .97 cents for them on Saturday.  I tried my darnedest to use it all.😂

  5. I haven't posted on this thread for quite some time, although I do read the posts most days.  I am thinking of Kazu today and other friends who are grieving the loss of their loved ones.  Pasta was already on the menu for dinner today and after looking at the recipes I have decided to make the first one and change it a bit by adding a few veggies and shrimp.  We have been many time to todays port, love, love Barbados!  Thinking about those on the care list and sending a shout out to those celebrating.

  6. I know I read on this thread that Canadian military vets qualify for the OBC.  It has now been a week and a half since sending the information and almost a week since I sent an e requesting confirmation of it and the aoBC for our Carnival Corp. shares.  I guess customer service has gone by the wayside.

  7. Hello dailyites.  I was just speaking with Jacqui (Kazu) and she has given me the okay to post a link to José's obituary.  The funeral home will be live-streaming the service on Thursday morning.  There is a link on their website if you would like to be with Jacqui virtually.  She asked me to let you all know that she will be back with you in good time.  As a good friend of Jacqui and José, I would like to thank all of you for continued support of her during this sad time, I know that she truly appreciates all of you on this thread.https://kennebecasisfh.com/tribute/details/28422/Jos-Ledezma/obituary.html#tribute-start

    Thank you.  Georgina
