My wife and I text. Costs us .50 to send and .05 to receive. Works well in a pinch, we keep it to a minimum.

I agree with most who have replied already. You will not go wrong with the Paradise. My first cruise was on the sister ship the Inspiration and my second was on Paradise. I thoroughly enjoyed both cruises and I was bitten by the cruise bug on the Fantasy class ship. The service was fabulous and had so much to do for all ages. The itinerary was so nice I did it twice.:p I am from Maryland.
Happy Cruising!

The second sea day is what I decided on because I did not want to do the 1st night. I like wine but not enough to make reservations on the first night. The elegant nights just didn't seem like the right nights. Port days can be draining, and by the end of the cruise I am not one for doing too much planned things. I really like going with the flow towards the end of a cruise. Process of elimination for me too.

I've cruised out of that terminal twice and I will say that if your concern is not having to wait and not necessarily getting on the ship early, you should get to the 1ish. When I got there a little later it was smooth sailing to my cabin. You will miss the early mad rush and not do too much waiting.
Happy sailing.

Port of Baltimore Transfer from BWI
in East Coast Departures

It's looking like a metered cab is about the same price as a Carnival transfer. So it is probably best to purchase a transfer unless you are staying overnight at a nearby hotel and they have complimentary shuttles.
