When we cruised in January it was as soon as we boarded - they directed us right away to the muster station, didn't get a chance to look around, get a drink, eat etc. Much preferred way for me - so quick, easy and fast.

Our was split.

We were on the Dream last week - used the app - worked on/off for us. It is nice but I think the developers need to tweek it more, lots of issues with Wifi connection - and not just with our phones, we came across several people who had issues with the chat feature. I told my family we will go back to the the magnetic message board on our cabin room doors next cruise.

Hello AdobeRN.
Thanks for the great pics and review. How was the areas around your cabins? Was it quiet?
Yes it was quiet - I never heard anyone out in the halls. We would occasionally hear the door to the outside deck slam shut but nothing that disturbed us or kept us awake.

Last time we cruised my youngest was 14, just a week shy of her birthday. They allowed her to move up - they told me as long as it was within 3 months of the birthday.
Encourage him to go the first night - 1st time we cruised my kids were shy & worried about going, 2nd cruise they couldn't get away from us fast enough :) they met a group of kids and hung out with them all week. My husband said they had thier own "gang".

Did you by chance save any of the FunTimes? I'm so sorry if you already mentioned that! :)
I do...I will try and scan them this weekend. I think I still have Club O2 info also if you want that.

Fantastic review! Our family took the exact same itinerary on Liberty the year before over Christmas week. Loved every minute of it and can not wait until we are back on Liberty. :)
Thank you - I loved it too...I would do this one again - especially if it included HMC...someday I will make it there :)

Just started reading your review, thanks for sharing :)
Do you mind if I ask you what application you used to create this picture?
I used Picasa - it has a collage section.

I love the Liberty.
By the way, thanks for the Picasa link...I immediately downloaded it and am having fun with it.
Melanie
You are welcome - I have been having fun with it also :)

It is to the right if the pier. You will go thru the duty free shop turn right, head towards the beach area. Just walk along the beach - not far and you will start seeing them along the beach in the sand.

Your family looks so fun and looks like they enjoyed many of the same things my family will be doing!!
We like to have a good time but I think it will be awhile before all 9 of vacation together. When you get a big group together it is hard to keep everyone happy. At least on a cruise there is something for everyone to do.

I sailed on her back in October on this same itinerary and I'm considering doing it again NEXT October. :) (I will get to Half Moon Cay someday, darnit!) I'll probably have to 'settle' for a shorter Victory cruise, though.
One of the best things about the FunShip 2.0 upgrades is that virtually all of the new features are fee-free. Guy's Burger Joint and the Blue Iguana Cantina are both 'free' (with paid fare, of course ;) ).
Offhand I can't think of any parts of the upgrades that require a new, separate fee, although of course you'll have to pay to use some of them (like the new bars).
The only things that were extra were some items on the Red Frog menu - more like appetizer items. We did not try any of them - there was so much more to snack on the was "free".

LOVED this review! My extended family is going on this same cruise in May and as it's my first cruise, this was extremely informative for me! I also forwarded it to my family so they can enjoy it as well.

Also curious why Nassau was subbed for HMC on your cruise - did they give you an explanation? I would have been p*ssed!
I have no idea - no explanation- if there was it probably went to my junk email & was deleted. I was upset at first but I also really wanted to go to San Juan & Grand Turk.

Is it sad that I felt like crying when we returned to port on our Liberty cruise last August??? LOL. Love this review and the picture format was awesome. Looking forward to our next Liberty cruise this coming August.
I was sad too...I was ready to book something for the summer or for Thanksgiving but my husband said no...He wants to do a land vacation next time.

We did the walking tour in Nassau a few years ago and felt the same way as you. No way would I do it again.
I was trying to keep an open mind about this place and was kindof determined to be able to do the walking tour but I had my family constantly bugging me about how safe this place was - so I was alittle afraid.

This is great! Keep going - we sail the Liberty on Sat. I can't wait.
I hope you had fun on your trip!

We had a great vacation. Only complaint from everyone was that it felt like we skipped Christmas - so we will probably not travel during Christmas again.
If anyone has questions - just ask, I will do my best to answer. Those of you going on this cruise - Have fun, we did & I would definetly do this itinerary again.

PORT OF MIAMI - SATURDAY 12/29/12
We arrived back to POM right on time. We were all up and out of our cabin by 7am. Lido buffett for breakfast - it wasn't too crowded but there was a steady stream of people. Had our breakfast and then just sat around and waited for our number to be called.
Once our number was called we headed to deck 3 and off the ship. Luggage was picked up off the carosels, went thru customs and we were in our cars by 9:15am.
Pulling into POM.
Carnival Destiny pulling in behind us.
Waiting for our number to be called.
Driving away - Bye Bye Carnival Liberty :(

Does the mac n cheese at the brunch taste the same as the mac n cheese at dinner?
Yes - at least I thought so. It was good.
Being Prepared - What Essentials

I cruised in January and getting ready for my next cruise in June.
Back in January I packed all kinds of travel meds - allergy meds, motion sickness meds, tylenol, ibuprofen, imodium, benadryl, cough medication, couple Covid home tests, thermometer, pulse ox etc etc in a gallon size ziplock - no way was I going to go to the medical clinic on the ship unless it was a life/death situation. I plan on doing the same with my June cruise.
Not afraid of Covid or catching something - I just didn't want to be forced to quarantine if I had to make a visit to the medical clinic for something minor.
