How many days until your next cruise?????? Hopefully it's soon, as I know we all enjoy time spent on the open seas.
I only have 78 days until my cruise, and I am already getting ancious to go. I wish it was sooner, then the time on the cruise would just crawl so it seemed longer, lol.
Lucky you. Unless we grab a last minute cheapo in the fall:
147
164

OP! Thanks for this thread.
Impressive lists.
We only used the wine coupons and JR coupons on the last several
cruises though.

Hi,
On the Majesty last Sunday the MC said the band
could play anything.
If you can sing on key...it would be a pleasure to
hear you.

Howdy.....here's a few:
Refraction of Sun through glass stem. Railing of the Crown Princess, cabin B749.
3 close shots as an animated gif file. Bird makes it interesting.
The Green Flash shot with a Canon SX40 at 35X power.

Great shots here!
Hi all. We are cruising more and taking pictures.
If you all don't mind I'll post here occasionally.
This is from a Navigator cruise...Falmouth after a
passing shower. 2 shots combined.

Glad you enjoyed the video! I worked as a Head Video Technician, but shot these clips with my own camera.
Hi,
Nice work.
What camera do you use?
Thanks.

Thanks for this thread and links.
Port Everglades is busy this time of year.
Sometimes I ride my motorcycle over to the
Port to watch the ships leave...but the web cams
are great especially since they scan the harbor
and follow the ships.
Thanks again and so hey...here's a pic I took, a while
back, of your favorite ship. The Oasis does fill Lake Mabel
(name of the turning basin).

Sailed on the Miracle March 9 - March 17. Short Review - Awesome cruise! Weather was great. Met many really nice folks on this cruise. Watched March Madness with great group from the BBN in the sports bar. Go Lehigh!
Boarding - Arrived at Port Everglades at 9:45. Zone 2. Happily snacking on the Lido by 11:30. Boarding started about 11:10.
Cabin - 8D #7337. Usual nice balcony cabin. Stewards, Casey and Maryfe, new our names when we first met them. Very attentive and friendly the entire cruise.
Dining - We dined on the Lido, MDR and Nick and Nora's. Will rate the food at consistently very good to excellent. Changes noted in MDR menus but lot's of great choices remain.
Ports - St Maarten: Spent the day at Pinel Island. Very nice family oriented beach though it is clothing optional. Many land based guests and few cruise guests. Two good restaurants. First ferry of the day does not leave till 9:00
St. Lucia: Pigeon Island. Two beaches. First, and best, rented out to Wind Star ship pax for the day. Second beach is small but good. Beautiful views across the bay. Many interesting ruins on the island
St. Kitts - Always Cockleshell Beach, more currently known as Reggae Beach. Fun crowded beach. Good food and Wilber the 700++ pound pig.
Wilber's stature seems to have increased over the last couple of years.
Best 45 minute drive with outstanding views along the way.
Ship arrived back at Port Everglades at a very early 5:00. Announced by Captain day before. Due to 7 ships in port on Saturday. Self assist disembark started at 6:30 and we were off and in car by 6:45.
We had a great time and all of our expectations were met or exceeded. No complaints at all.
Hey Relayer...agree about the steakhouse...best food on the sea in my opinion.
This was our first time on the Miracle. Nice ship. Not crowded like the
monstrosities. Eastern itinerary was awesome and
already wishing we could do it again.

It's not cheap, but there's an non-RCL excursion to Chichen Itza by plane that's really nice. We left Cozumel around 9:00-9:30 and were back before 3:00PM. You fly to/from Chichen Itza International in a small plane, they have transportation to/from the ruins, and a private tour guide at the ruins. I wouldn't recommend it any other way.
Nice...way to go. Price I got was close to $900 for 2 of us.
But if you must see C.I. from Coz...it's the only way to fly.

Hi,
If you like to climb...COBA...is the one.
Tallest pyramid in Yucatan....gotta go to Guatemala
for one a few feet taller.
Interestingly, at the top of Coba's 138' Nohoch Mul pyramid are two
'diving gods' similar to the ones at Tulum 40 miles away.
Tulum is picture perfect but you can't climb anything there. Nice
small beach area.
C.I. is not available through Royal cruises from Coz...way too far by bus.

Hi .
Well...never considered myself a solo...but DW's work schedule doesn't
mesh with mine. We average 2 cruises (balcony cabin) together
per year and I do 2 or 3 solo off-season (Jan-Feb, Gty inside cabin)
cruises per year.
We have only visited Tulum Ruins together, but solo I have been
able to tour Xunantunich, Chocchoben, Lamanai, Cahal Pech, Coba
and Uxmal Ruins....and Kohunlich/Dzibanache, Altun Ha and Chichen Itza
are next, soon.
I guess in my particular case, if I didn't do the solos...I'd not get
to visit these interesting sites for a few more years.
Anyway, enjoy your larger cabin, smaller bar bills and finding a seat
for one [at all shows] is easy.

7, 36 and 277.
But who's counting?

Sometimes I suspect that no one in RCI's management ever considers that there are people out there who, instead of choosing Oasis or Allure, will choose a different cruise line. But until demand starts to drop off for the two ships I guess that they don't have to consider that scenario.
Yup, I can see the Carnival Freedom and maybe Princess out of San Juan
in my not-to-distant future.
IMHO Oasis/Allure don't go where I want to go and are not in my
fun budget.
Enjoyed the Navigator.

We have had this cabin on several of our cruises. We where able to have our room Steward bring us 2 pool loungers and soak up the rays. We have booked this room again on our October cruise. Everyone should experience this cabin at least once. :D:D:D
We heard about B749 on CC forums.
We did book it.
We agree, it was worth it.
Book it early for those popular
cruise times when schools are
out.

Thanks. Confirms what I have read elsewhere and will
never book an expensive suite under pool area...on any ship.

Hi,
Here's a Photo Shopped diagram I did combining a real
photo with a screen shot of Emeralds decks...similar to Crown.
Had this posted before...maybe it will help some.

Thanks Maxxedout2. We're in this cabin in a few weeks time and we were already looking forward to it but now we've seen your slide show, we're even more excited. :) :) Thanks for taking the trouble to do it!
Dentonview,
My pleasure...just adding to the pics/info here!
We booked our aft cabin after reading the reports here. Thanks All!
We hope everyone enjoys their cruises as much as we did ours.
Looking forward to everyones comments and, of course, happy pictures.
Feelin' Nauti'.... hehehe Aft cabin is great place for Nauti'....enjoy.

Maxx

Question....if given a choice, would you take B749 or C753.....on the Crown? All aft cabins, but any reason one might be chosen over the other. Have enjoyed reading all the information shared in this thread and now want one of those coveted corner AFT cabins!
Thanks for any suggestions........
Wondering if there is a deck that is preferred over the other?
Ummm..maybe 10 feet lower in C753 and next to a suite.
I will venture out onto a limb here and say you will be happy in either
cabin.
Enjoy your cruise.

Howdy,
Here's a slide show .gif file.....not hi-res, but hope it gives you a sense
of being in an AFT Cabin.
The balcony can be surrounded by action and awesome views on port
days. It can also be extremely private while underway and at night.
B749 is starboard aft corner cabin. Not a Mini Suite. The large, calm
covered balcony was always in use and seemed a good trade off
for less space.
Enjoy!

Great Aft cabin. Great views. Always calm, large balcony.

Thanks for the heads-up.
Many bums on every corner in Miami, seems anyway.
When they approach my car I ask them for 'gas money'
before they can ask me anything...hehehe...they just move on.
