My VPN works fine.

As connectivity is important to me when traveling, I wanted to give my first hand experience using Starlink, recently installed onboard.

One word… AMAZING!  I have been able to stream any services I like.

It’s been great watching my local news in the morning and having other options than MSNBC or Fox……. I can access my Xfinity streaming account as well.  Signal is strong, buffering is rare.

I am so pleased I upgraded from the premium one device to premium 4 device to make it seamless going from device to device.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I hereby do solemnly swear.... seriously though... YES I very much plan to be around quite a bit, particularly in the evenings - I don't see this new position as being office locked 24/7 and to truly get the vibe of a cruise and see how your scheduling is working - it will be imperative to be "out & about".

Hey Pam - how I enjoyed our lunch on my last cruise on IP - so wonderful to sail with you again. What a fun table that was with some of my very best CC friends.

Sorry for the mis-information, that is what happens when you are in the middle of a post and your family rushes you out of the house for a Home Depot run. When i'm on vacation I never carry my phone (or wear a watch!) so I did not know the reaction my business card post was getting. As soon as I realized what I did I corrected the post - blast from the past!

As I have said so many times, Princess Cruises in addition to having an amazing product for our guests is the employer of choice for us "shippies" - while I loved working for Celebrity in the day, no one treats their crew like Princess, and I am certain when I finally do leave Princess, it will be the end of the sea-going side of my career.

PLUS I WOULD'NT GET TO SEE ALL MY GREAT FRIENDS LIKE YOU AND SO MANY MORE!!! I am staying put and as we say in New England..... am WICKED PSYCHED for my new role as Entertainment Director.

Can you tell us who reports to whom?

On a ship with ED & CD - CD reports to ED. CD is a 3 stripe officer - ED 3.5. ED would be the dept. head.

On ships with only a CD - CD is a 3.5 stripe officer and is the dept. head.

We are all so glad that we will be able to enjoy having you as our CD! We were terribly sad when we first heard that you were originally going to be leaving as we were arriving on the unique 11/16/16 cruise. I had made several posts here on CC basically wishing that they changed your schedule slightly so that you would stay on for our cruise, and my wish came true. Whether it was the power of suggestion, all of us wishing, or just pure luck does not matter.

 

We have not been on the Island with you for a few years, but have sailed with several of your great proteges over these past few years. We are looking forward to this cruise, seeing you again, and and checking out the remodeled ship, but we are sad they did not add an IC! (I bet you are tired of hearing people say that! LOL!)

Hey Keith - hope you're well! I am still CD in the traditional structure.

We have only rolled out this new program on 4 ships so far with 4 more to follow by year's end.

I believe I will be one of the last to make the switch to the new program, which should be fully rolled out by the end of 2017.
