We would like to take the skyrail up and down while doing rainforestation in the middle. If we get back to the Smithfield Terminal, how can we get back into Cairns ourselves ? We will be staying at the Cairns Plaza but would just want to get back into the main part of the city. Thanks.

We have just come back from a cruise including Belfast and we used Kudos Executive Travel for our day trip from Belfast. http://www.kudosexecutivetransfer.com/

Although they advertise as a luxury transfer company they have incredibly comfy minivans and guides/drivers.

We had excellent guidance and communication from Fergus before the trip and the most fantastic driver/guide called Tom who made the day come alive for us. He took us along the coastal roads and all the routes where the big coaches can't go visiting castles, bridges and Game of Thrones locations all along the way to the Giant's Causeway. He has a perfect tea rooms to stop for lunch. On the way back we did a tour of Belfast city where Tom explained the history of the troubles and showed us both sides of the Peace Wall. It was very moving. Tom kept us amused and enthralled in turns and we would highly recommend this company.

There were 9 of us in total on this tour as a private day excursion from a cruise. Our guide was Michael and he was brilliant. He was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his city. He was great with our 15 year old son. We saw everything we wanted and some things we didn't know we wanted to see! . We were given bottles of water which was much needed and the minivan was extremely comfortable.

Highly recommended.

He got us down all the side and back roads and was able to stop where a larger coach would not have been able to. He was knowledgeable and helpful and we saw everything we wanted. We were given bottles of water which was much needed and the minivan was very comfortable.

I've not had any experience of buying any drinks packages, but have read a few comments on here recently about this.

 

I may be wrong, but from what I gather, if you prebook then it makes you buy the package for everyone but if you buy it onboard then you don't have to.

 

It's probably best to check that I've got that right. If you look at recent threads or do a search then you should find something.

While people are kindly letting us pick their brains, can I just check this out..We tried to book a soft drinks package for our 15 year old last night but apparently if he has one we all have to have one? Is that correct? We've done a couple of RCI cruises before and never had this.

Is there any way round this?
