I get it. The Sun is older, less bells and whistles. We never did " all the stuff" anyway....

Is it uncrowded feeling?

And is it a "rougher ride" because its smaller?

We sailed on the Pearl a few years ago, and I really liked it. I especially like the concierge benefits in Suites. I am thinking about another cruise, despite the fact that my husband doesn't love cruising. LOL. I am considering early to mid December with my two adult sons (and my husband too). We live in South Florida, so Tampa and Miami are the ports with cruises on NCL at that time.

I really prefer the Western Carribean itinerary with Roatan, Belize and Costa Maya, which is on the Sun. I wanted to try one of the bigger ships, and like the idea of The Haven (we don't like crowds), but don't love those itineraries....and smooth sailing is important for my dh, although I know that can never be predicted.

So here is my question: how is the Sun? How does it compare to the Pearl? We would probably get a suite if its not too late, and a room for our sons as well.

I know you guys are uber-experienced---any suggestions?

but.....look at the deck plans. there are cabins, side by side, some are connecting, some are not, and they all take up the same space and they all are the same size. but it doesn't show that little foyer area, which doesn't butt out into the hall, as connecting rooms don't bulge out into the hallway....the rooms must be a tad smaller....just thinking....

better stop thinking....

so are connecting cabins or balconies any smaller to make up for the room of the little "foyer" or is that extra space for those cabins? On the deck plans, you don't see that mapped out, if you know what I mean....

i want to check back periodically, and cannot ever seem to find the spreadsheet without hunting thru posts til i find a link....can anyone help?

I got 2003 excel. i give up. it opened in excel, but wouldnt work. (I couldnt enter anything into the cells). who needs it. lol. i got a paper and pencil....

that's why my dad always said these computer things are a passing fad....lol....

i did downlaod it. how do i get it into excel? i cant give up now...

i cannot get that spreadsheet to work. Can anyone help me? It's driving me nuts, and at this point, is a matter of principle for me...LOL....I WANT IT TO WORK.

We want to go hang with the rays, but don't want to stand in a crowd to do it. We had considered doing the jetski thing, but one poster said the ride was quite rough when they went, and I am 56 and not so up to rough. Maybe a catamaran or small sailboat? How long does it take to get to the rays? Is there maybe a better time of day to go?

Any suggestions?
