Again they are not allowing you the amount already paid!

Did you puchase the cruise from a travel agent?  Can you ask them to refund the price of the Signature Beverage Pack or part of the cost?

gone try when boarding -let you know

@SAB017 Have you downloaded the HAL Navigator app?

That offers the oportunity to purchase Have it All.  The price is €65 per day per person (for 2 in a cabin).

Did you try to sign into the HAL website.  You can 'Manage your cruise' from there.

Did you try calling 00 800 1873 1873  (HAL Rotterdam)?

Ok, that is something I have not seen recently.    I am sure you could upgrade, but would it be worth it?  Currently the price for HIA is €65 per day per person.  You already have the main feature of the package (Signature Beverage Pack).  The upgrade would only get you (a) basic wifi/internet; (b) credit towards overpriced shore excursions; and (c) a free meal or two in a speciality restaurant.  Is there really value in that 'upgrade'?

yes I think so, wi fi is already 200€ for the cruise and the price difference between the 2 packages is 168€ ...so

I am going to tread lightly here as you are in Europe and the rules are different than in North America.

Here, it’s the HIA that is included in the price not the Signature Package.  I suspect you would be expected to buy HIA.  Best bet would be to contact your TA and inquire.

TA cannot do it..sends me to Holland America, difficult to contact them in Europe, chat does not work, telefone number only to sell future cruise.......maybe ask when on board?

Do you mean upgrading the Signature Beverage Package (included with the Have it All Package) to the Elite Beverage Package?   Then yes, it can be upgraded, but only when onboard the ship and you must upgrade before using the Signature package for any drinks.  So almost your first job onboard!

Both people in stateroom must upgrade.  It may not be good value to upgrade, as you can just pay the difference between the menu price and the $11 allowance (+18% gratuity).

Check the bar prices before commiting.

Do the Troll Road/Aksla excursion - both are amazing.  We made several other stops as well - unless my memory is failing on which day we did this, we stopped at a restaurant in the strawberry growing region and were served an amazing strawberry cake.  At the bottom of the Troll Road, we were provided lunch at a restaurant - very authentic Norwegian food.

amazing yes if the weather is good and that is not always the case.......21 days in Norway and 19 rain days with 0 meter visibility

Well 6 weeks into this,  here in the Palm Springs area,  everything is pretty good.   Food produce. everything  but Paper towels and ammunition is plentiful.      Venturing out  is not a big deal  if you  wear a mask,  keep your distance and avoid crowds.    I would NOT use home delivery  as the x factor is  the person who brought it to you  and how many people they have mingled with .  As I see it going to the store is a better  deal because you can control the environment  not rely on someone else to.

As long that you have those : no problem........

  10. Just returned from week in Hamburg

    Very good metro-bus system

You pay 11,60 € for up to5 adults ( valid from 9 am till 6 am following morning)or pay 1,50€ for 1 ride in the city

Wunderland is 300 meters from metro station-just follow the crowd......station : Baumwall

allow at least 2 -3 hrs for visit

  11. It is not a US ship. The ships I have been on were Maltese. Do a little research and one will find out the legal implications. Just like Guantanamo is not part of the USA.

The cruise itself is a legal contract between Celebrity and the passenger in the Country where the passenger booked . For UK citizens this means that they are protected by the legislation of the UK and Europe.

Whether tipping is appropriate or not is between Celebrity and the individual passenger. As Celebrity allow passengers to remove the gratuity it is 'clearly' discretionary.

The thread is actually about drink prices which , when aboard a Cruise departing the UK does not have gratuities. Or they are included in the price if you wish to view it that way.

    very good explanation
