  1. We are considering bidding from a verandah to one of the suites and wondering what will be included.( we have not purchased a drink package, we are elite if that matters)  A search gives me more questions than answers. I understand that Wi-Fi, premium drinks, OBC and gratuity are not included. Where it gets confusing is what’s included at the retreat lounge, bar and pool deck.  Can anyone help clarify that, please?  I am also curious about what dining options are included specifically on the Beyond.  I’ve previously read that all specialty restaurants are included for all suite guests. Is this still the case?
Thanks so much for your help.

  2. I can answer a few of your questions.
the toiletries are C.O. Bigelow.  The scent is citrusy.  There is shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the cabins.  All are provided in large refillable containers.

Luggage, I can’t help you with, we also use the porters and receive the luggage quickly.

as for Blu, you should be able to order off of both menus in any combination you like.

Internet, we have checked cameras at home without any issues.

Gelato is once per cruise Select and up.

    Have a great cruise.

  3. We have a cruise booked on the Equinox, 2 days on shore and then B2B cruises on the Summit.  After the first Summit cruise, my DH will have enough points to be Elite.  Will Elite status apply to the second Summit cruise?  I will be Elite after the go green points are added, so, will I be considered Elite as well on the second sailing?  Is there anything I need to do to facilitate this upgrade?

thank you so much for your help.

  4. I liked the webinar.  I think it’s a positive for consumers that X is monitoring these boards and other social media venues to keep a real pulse on what people are feeling.  I think it was a nice shift to hear a president of a company admit that they can do a better job communicating.  And, I love that the power up points program will continue.  Overall, I feel it was worth my time to watch.

  5. For what it’s worth, I would not recommend doing this on your own.  I would highly recommend you book through the ship or find a charter that can take you.  The boat ride from Tortola to JVD is about 45 minutes.  It is a beautiful island and a beautiful beach, but you don’t want to be ina situation where you miss the ship.  If JVD isn’t in the cards, I’d recommend the Baths.  Either way, have a great trip.

  6. My husband and I are in our 40s.  We are Sapphire with NCL and did our first Celebrity Cruise over the holidays for 12 nights on the Equinox.  We are completely blown away by Celebrity. Everything was better.  As others have stated, the ship was just nicer.  The furnishings, the decor, the lighting all of it felt more elegant.  The service, and I have to say that we’ve always had excellent service on NCL, was superb.  It’s almost like your wants are anticipated.  The food is also a HUGE improvement on Celebrity. On NCL, most of our meals are in specialties.  By comparison, on our holiday cruise, most of our meals were in the dining room.  We preferred Celebrity.  The food is just better. And, then you add that we had the same servers every night and they really got to know us and us them…I realize it’s cliche, but, it was just a much nicer, more personal experience.
It’s a particular talent to make each guest feel like a VIP.  NCL has particular employees who stand out, who get talked about constantly for their superb service.  People like Bong & Chocolate Cowboy. On Celebrity, everyone you interact with has that talent. It’s remarkable.  But, you will feel like a VIP.
And, don’t miss the buffet.  The selection and the changes everyday are seriously impressive.  The desserts alone were unbelievable.  One day, in the buffet mind you, they had cream puffs that were individually carved into swans.  Each was decorated with a face. And, that was one dessert at lunch among about 50 other options.
I hope you have a wonderful cruise.
