Go on Celebrity app.  Sign in.  Go to manage your reservation.  Scroll down to drink package. Classic to Premium upgrade.   Should come up.. I have an unpaid Eclipse for June, and I am able to upgrade without paying in full.  Also did specialty dining already.   If doesn't work, give a call to customer service...Good luck

Update, followed your advice and can now see the upgrade on the app.  Thank you so much.

  3. We have recently booked an 8 day cruise on Beyond to the ABC islands in September, and had the classic drinks package included in the booking.  We can see the prices of the packages on the app, and would like to upgrade to the premier package whilst there is a promotion on. At this point in time we have only paid a deposit and balance isn’t due until the end of May, we also online through a TA. Could anyone advise how we upgrade? We can’t seem to do it on the app? TIA.

Was it the Subclass 651 eVisitor that you were granted? The Aus ETA cannot be done online, it has to be done through the app and there is a cost of $20. The eVisitor is for many European passport holders including the UK and as you say is free. Other passport holders including USA and Canada would need to apply for the ETA.

You are correct, Yes we have been granted a subclass 651 Visitor.  My mistake. Thanks for clearing this up.

  5. We are on the Star now.  It’s our first NCL cruise, but We knew we could bring wine aboard before boarding. there is no limit (within reason) and no corkage for guests with a drinks package. We chose to bring our own wine aboard as we were unsure of what wine was on offer on board.  We brought 6 bottles on board. During the ‘we can’t sell you alcohol’ periods we have been allowed to bring our own wine to bars and restaurants to drink.  And last night leaving Dublin we were encouraged to get cans for tonight. I’m disappointed that NCL are not allowing alcohol sales for whatever reason , but grateful we have our own wine. We are on vacation and like to have a drink. We have visited guest services to complain, their stance is, it’s the law, it’s nothing to do with duty and HMRC.  We refuse to allow this to spoil what is so far a lovely cruise, ship and itinerary.

  6. We are two couples planning a 3 week holiday cruising NZ in November. We have narrowed this down to the 19th November sailing. I have a couple of questions re your advice on the drinks packages and cabins.  We are experienced cruisers but have not cruised for 13 nights before. Would we appreciate the additional space and bath in a mini suite or should we just book a balcony. What are your thoughts? Additionally we are undecided whether or not to book the plus package or premium package.  We do like nice wine, and wonder if the premium package would be worth it for us. Does anyone have any recent wine lists showing the difference between the plus and premier packages. Thank you.

  7. My husband tested positive  at 09.30 on both PCR and antigen on day 5 of the new year cruise on Marella Explorer 2, whilst the ship was docked in Valencia. I tested negative on both tests. We were both toldto isolate in our balcony cabin on deck 8 , and at 17.45 he was taken off the ship in a full haz mat suit (luggage fumigated in the corridor) . We had no idea where he was going. I was not allowed to isolate with him as I had tested negative.  He was taken to a quarantine hotel in Valencia.  From that moment he was only in contact with guest services from Marella when he contacted them. He quarantined for 7 days, and luckily he was permitted to fly home on day 8 without additional testing. The whole experience has left us dissolusioned about further cruises. No one spoke to my husband and asked about his welfare. The phone in his room did not work and he was told to email reception with any queries.  He had no British Tv and went 3 days without a hot drink, as the breakfast was left outside his room with no knock on the door.  No tea / coffee facilities in his room.  Had we not had the foresight to pack him with all our available toiletries, he wouldn’t have been given any.
he had to download a translator to understand the menu.
luckily he was not hospitalised. Another passenger paid 2000 euro for an ambulance to take him to hospital.
we have an Alaska cruise booked in April, with a week in Canada beforehand and are having 2nd thoughts about travelling based on this experience.

  8. Hi, are any of these tests available for us to order in the UK. We are booked on the first Alaska sailing on Koningsdam in May and we will need to take a test in Vancouver. We will have been on Rocky Mountaineer before arriving in Vancouver, so know we need to test prior to entering Canada.

You have to wait until you are on board to upgrade.  Go to any bar and make the request.  Lots of discussion on this on other threads here on the front page 😉

Thank you.  I realise now I should have searched before I posted.

  10. Apologies if this a frequently asked question. We have transferred our 2021 Alaska sailing to 2022. We have the Signature beverage package as part of our cruise but wish to upgrade to the Elite.  Is this possible? If so can we do this before boarding or do we have to wait until we are onboard. TIA
