  1. Key West is a wonderful stop! Lots to do and see! I wonder if Celebrity and other cruise lines will go around the city of Key West and stop at the US Naval station as we did last November on Equinox.  Since it’s Federal property, there’s absolutely nothing the locals could do about that, and I’m sure all of the local businesses don’t want to see the cruise ships leave with all of the money that pours in! Good luck to all of them.

  2. Just checked dreamvacations.com and the Bermuda sailings for May 2021 are listed. May 6, 15, and 25. One 9- night cruise and two 10- night cruises. However these dates aren’t listed on Celebrity’s website, only June and July. Very weird. I’m guessing either a glitch or they’re planning something else. If it’s a change in schedule they’ll keep you informed and give you the opportunity to change it or receive a refund. Hope it works out!

  3. Does anyone on Cruise Critic know if you book a 7-night Specialty Dining package for a seven night cruise, that you get any extra perks like free lunches at either Murano, Qsine or Tuscan Grille? Booked for November on Equinox and I’m aware of the renovations in progress and that Qsine will in fact replace Silk Harvest. Would it be comparable to unlimited dining packages offered several years ago or just and only seven nights of your choice? Input greatly appreciated!

  4. Haven’t had Eggs Benedict in a Ocean Cafe! The ones in Luminae are superb as are the Huevos Rancheros! Basically corn tortilla with refried black bean purée, eggs done how you like them, whatever protein on the side, fresh made salsa, and enchilada sauce on the side! To this I would add my eggs Benedict with extra Hollandaise sauce and create a Nuevo huevos rancheros experience! Just make sure that you order the eggs Benedict soft, sometimes they’ll be hard boiled otherwise! Pairs nicely with coffee and cream and if you care to a mimosa! Enjoy!!

  5. Yes! As long as it’s not very close to sailing! Check either skymiles Cruises, American Airlines Cruises or United! If it’s for next year most sailings will have them except repositioning cruises such as Transatlantic and Transpacific! Generally S2 are the way to go on those unless you enjoy aft facing staterooms like those that you’ll find with S1

  6. The Dover Sole or Lobster Murano are not to be missed out on! They do a table side finishing preparation on these dishes that elevate the dining experience here to something very special, and would certainly make your anniversary more so special! I’ve tried nearly all of their dishes, and they knock it out of the park each and every Time! Roquefort pear, goat cheese soufflé, or my father’s all time favorite, the scallop Wellington which he orders double every time! You can’t go wrong here! Enjoy your cruise! Happy Anniversay! Happy eating! 😁

  7. Deck 12. Stateroom #2119, is wonderful! Stayed in there last December! TONS of storage for clothing and luggage! Go Best package and Luminae made it one of the best cruises ever! Use caution when getting in and out of the shower as the tub/shower sits a little higher than most are used to! Always use extra towels on the floor of the shower! It’s marble, so it gets slippery when wet! Murano at least once or twice is not to be missed! Silk Harvest was terrible! I’ve had much better Chinese at Panda and my local Chinese restaurant! Hope after the dry dock refurbishment it’s replaced with Qsine! Wonderful place to eat! Tuscan Grille is really good, but you’ll find better offerings at Luminae! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is fantastic! Huevos Rancheros and eggs Benedict! Michaels Club has crazy good coffee from the machine, can’t remember the name of it! Enjoy your cruise!

  8. It’s like they say,”you get what you pay for!!!” I understand that looking at Carnival and seeing the low price tag, and low price for going out of Galveston, but be reminded that it’s a long bus ride from IAH, depending on traffic, I’ve read on CC, that it can be up to 1.5 hours! Each way mind you! Your bus might not have a restroom! Carnival has lots of loud, obnoxious people who are there to party 24/7 and don’t have much social or civil decorum! Their kids are worst! Nothing like a bunch of loud crying kids in the Main Dining room, and the maitre’d that does nothing about how it’s affecting other diners who are trying to enjoy their dinner and cruise! Paper thin walls in your cabin, so you can hear conversations and other things going on next door! People yell at each other down the hall! Food is pretty good, but service is slow in MDR! Buffet is good, especially Indian and stir-fry stations, salad bar selection, etc. lots of kids running around at late breakfast, lunch on sea days, and in the evenings. Their parents don't do anything to control them! In a nut shell, avoid Carnival! If Celebrity is too much, try NCL or RCCL! Avoid the insanity, please!

  9. Friends of mine have done many TA cruises and usually book roundtrip starting with the airport nearest disembarkation in your case Heathrow or Manchester, Gatwick, etc. and don’t fly the return! So your search would be RT from LHR to Miami, or wherever, and you fly the outbound flight, not the return! Could check oneways on British Airways, or other European carriers as well. Hope you find something reasonable!

  10. Does anyone here on Cruise Critic know what sort of makeovers that Equinox will receive? Any chance Silk Harvest will be removed and replaced with Qsine? Or perhaps the The Lawn Club Grill replacing The Hot Glass show? Both of these changes in my opinion would be fantastic, since one can get better Chinese at Panda Express than Silk Harvest, and while the Glass show is entertaining, I’m not about to drop hundreds of dollars on blown glass, that’ll inevitably shatter in my suitcase! I read on another post that Reflection suite and Signature Suites will be added to all Solstice class ships. Only question is how without adding another floor or removing space from the Sky Observation Lounge. Giving some consideration of doing the 7 night Caribbean cruise next year Thanksgiving week, but only if these aforementioned changes were to occur. :)
