The smart people on my cruise walked or took a cab to the train station and saw all five villages of Cinque Terre. I stupidly took a ship tour and paid way more the see only three of these incredible sea side cliff villages.

Toulon is nothing special so from there I went to Aix-en-Provence which was very nice.

Randomly wandering around Rhodes on your own is a great way to enjoy that small maze of a town.

With Mykonos you may want to take the earliest ship tour of Delos and after that wander around Mykonos for four or five hours. Delos is the must see site and you can take a boat to that island on your own but that might be hard to arrange in high season.

Downtown if they still have the free tourist bus loop in the inner city and the outer loop for a buck. 90% of what you want to see for a nearly free transportation.

Does only one bus company go from Valparaiso San Antonio or is it like Santiago where many bus lines take the trip? I ask since Valparaiso is such a great city that I will spend a few nights there instead of a crap city like SA.

If your ship is scheduled to be one of the earliest ones in port then get in line and buy train tickets quickly. I got in line before the ticket booth opened and bought tickets for the first train.

Stay in Valparaiso instead of Santiago since it is a much prettier city.

Knossos was a disappointing waste of time to me but the downtown museum associated with it was excellent. The museum was no where near Knossos but it was on the public bus line coming back from there.

Kotor is definitely a DIY and if you are in great shape the climb up to the fortress.

Montreal and Quebec City have many great restaurants especially if you don't mind spending a lot of money for incredibly great food.

The upsell emails with the really great prices usually come out two weeks and one week before sailing.

HAL is really for adults so few teens and younger will be on the ship. I am shocked that anyone had language problems with the waitstaff since they are almost all Filipino with excellent English skills. The cabin stewards are normally Indonesian and sometimes the assistant steward's English skills are somewhat limited but the main steward has always spoke fine English.

I have been to Kotor twice on cruises. The first time I made the mistake of going on a tour of the unimpressive Budva. The second time I stayed in Kotor and made the rather difficult fortress climb and toured the city. The fortress climb was hard for this 60 year old in only decent shape who normally walks only two or three miles a day.

Absurdly expensive in both countries.

Stay in the far more interesting Valparaiso.

Everything is so expensive in Norway that having the ship do your laundry would be less expensive.

Spend some money and go on the longest ship tour of the Lake Myvatn area. This is an incredible region with a wide variety of sites.

Only use a HOHO there if you are in pretty bad shape and can't walk a few miles. Talin is a pure DIY on foot city for most people.

Holland America.

Stay in a great city like Valpo for several days. The street art is incredible. I stayed at a great little hotel if you need a recommendation.

Several lines circumnavigate South America from Florida back to Florida. They take about 60 days.

All tours are **** and the town too. Stay on the ship or go to the nearby bar and pool where the crew frolic in the swimming pool.

They have a sale right now on lots of cruises.
