So I was looking at the dining plan for our upcoming cruise. When I select our family it correctly does $0 for our 3 year old but charges for the 4 year old. (ages are at time of sailing)

Is there a way to check the birthdates listed on the reservation to make sure they are correct? Has anyone else run in to this?

Not sure if this applies to you but it looks like they will adjust it on board.

I was watching a blog on YouTube and this person said RCI uses frozen sushi for some of their rolls. Frozen then defrosted would definitely change the texture.

Most sushi/sashimi comes from previously frozen fish to kill potential parasites.

  4. Great thread!

I'm trying to lose weight by Feb 19th. I've cut carbs out of my breakfast and lunch. Eat a hard boiled egg for breakfast and my coffee is black with two sugars (no milk). Lunch is a Dole chopped salad mixed bag. They have a variety of flavors and for me it's 2 servings in a bag although suggested servings are 3 - pfff. It's only $5 per bag so I'm spending $2.50 a day for my lunch at work. I also like unsweetened tea and water throughout the day. When I get home, I eat a regular home cooked meal. Also, I reduced my alcohol intake and only drink 1 day a week a wine or two (or three [emoji51]).

I don't have a sweet tooth so no problem in that department. I just love savory foods..

When it's my day off (Sunday or Monday), I enjoy a hearty breakfast or brunch with bacon, omelet, sausage, crusty french bread, etc..

    Holiday weight: 155-157 at night

Current weight: 150 in the morning

Goal: 143 - my weight before I got married.

Image goal: lose my gut and back fat. (I don't want to see back fat in photos lol)

  5. First of all, this thread is adorable, and you totally have me rooting for you and your man. Secong, I unequivocally think that you made the right decision. I am always one for sailing different line (as you can see from my signiture) and trying different ships (and even different types of vacations- not just cruises. I just got off the Gem on 1/27 though and I am already considering booking the exact same cruise for December. This is HIGHLY unusual for me, as I generally do not cruise for two vacations in a row, let alone the same exact line and ship! In my opinion though, the Gem is the perfect size, with the perfect mix of available active v. relaxing features. It was fantastic for everyone from my very small children (5, 3, 6mo.), to my nearly 60 year old parents. The specialty restaruants make it feel more like a Resort Dining experience, and are worth every penny to me.

Have a blast! Maybe you'll get married onboard in a few years ;)

I was just looking through my history on cruise critic and noticed your comment! Guess what! We did get married Nov 2015! 598b4874649e20fc9c59aa910842cdab.jpg
