  1. The hot tubs are on deck 5, the Promenade.

My son who was 17 on our last cruse would always go to the front on deck 11. You need to go all the way down the hallway. It is right on top of the bridge so kind of cool.

The library bar is always empty.

Red Frog pub never seemed to be too busy either.

  2. Question for all..

do you think with the low Canadian dollar you will see less and less Canadians on a cruise..Even thought Carnival has the lowest pricing, it is still way too much to be paying ...

I know I will have to sit and really think...do I want to spend the price and almost half again for the same cruise...I don't think so..I work hard enough for my money to give it away..

For sure. I am Canadian and that will be our last cruise. We sailed on NYE and could have gone to a 5 star all-inclusive for the same price.

  3. Go to a AI in Negril, Jamaica! You will love it and 7 mile beach is awesome!

I agree. I have done Sandals twice now and it is way better than a cruise. We cruise because of our son. He is now in grade 12 so this cruise will be our last.

An AI is way more relaxing, romantic. We went to Sandals Ochi. The staff are AWESOME!!! That resort is a more livelier Sandals! I'd go back in a heartbeat!

  4. We are going there too on the NYE cruise. I was hoping they might switch to Ocho Rios or Montego Bay. We will likely just get off in the cruise port. Not much to do right around there.

  5. Check this out, we AMERICANS...take a bath when we go to Great Britian....1.60 to the dollar or to Europe with the Euro....So everbody takes a hit sometimes..

Long Live Canada and the USA

    Mike

Just think how bad it is for us Canadians to visit then. I'm switching to AI in the Caribbean. We still pay the exchange, but not as bad as paying the cruise outright in American dollars.

this is my last Cruise for a long time!!!

  6. I wanted to do Dunns but it looks like it's a couple hours bus ride both ways and I don't want to waste that much time. I'm thinking about an AI... The Iberostar Rose Hall Beach Hotel looks nice, 130 pp. or just direct to doctors cave beach. Can't decide....

it is about an hour and 45 minutes.

We were just in Ocho Rios last week and Dunn's river is right there.

I am hoping our sailing will go to Ocho Rios so I can go back to Sandals for the day.

  7. Howdy folks!

Thought we found the perfect cruise for the family, but doesn’t look like it is going to work out. Eastern Caribbean, on the Breeze, sails March 26th, 2016. We fell in love with ship and ports, but when it came time to book airfare we were brought back to reality! We will be flying out of SLC, can’t find anything that works for less than $900 each. Family of four, can’t justify spending more on airfare than the cruise. Luckily, booked with the $50 deposit special, so I am only invested $200.

Question, we have found another cruise that we would like to switch to. Sails out of Port Canaveral in May, and flights can be found for around $300 per person. Our PVP said the deposit is non refundable, what are the chances they allow us to use the deposit towards another cruise?

    Thanks in advance.

Try being Canadian and travelling at Christmas. It cost me 37% more this year. That is a hard pill to swallow this year. But it is DS's last year in high school so last time we will need to pay through the nose for a holiday.

Hope you are able to find an option and don't have to cancel.

  8. We also did New Years on the Breeze last year! Check it out on this fun video

Carnival Breeze - Stories of a "Cruise Virgin" - HD GoPro Tour!

We love New Years Cruises there is alwys something for everyone.

    Enjoy!!!!!

Hey how are you? Are you crusing this year? We are doing the Breeze again!!

  9. We were on the Breeze last year and are going again this year.

There was a huge deck party on the lido and in the atrium.

I am sure they changed the formal night to NYE, it was a 6 night cruise so not 100% but everyone was dressed up. Even my 16 year old and all his friends were dressed up.

    Enjoy!

  10. Of course. Left a message. Towel hut wasn't open yet as it was an early port of call. Again I'm not "whining". - we had a great cruise. We cruise often- so it's interesting to compare- this was an obvious change from what we are used to and just has me wondering if it was isolated to the Dream or a growing trend.

I always make sure I have clean beach towels everyday but going to the towel hut and get them when we are finished at the pool. I have sailed 6 times and didn't even know the stewards would give me clean beach towels.
