  1. So ny wife calls me and asks if Carnival has called me, I told her no why???

She tells me she just got a call and offered a suite for $500 total with no extra taxes...

So needless to say we are now in a $3400 suite for right at $2100!

We cruise on the 17th, and I can't wait as we've never had a suite .

So you have a NY wife and a TX wife? ;)

Just kidding..... sounds like you got an amazing deal! Congrats, and enjoy your cruise!

  2. Bad analogy. I don't know any restaurants that add the tip to your tab before being served by the ownwers, holding you hostage to pay their employee.

Actually, there are a few restaurants around here that when they run your card when you go to pay your bill they do the "authorization" for the tab plus 15%. Really peeved me when it first happened - I was new to the area and called them up and gave them an earful. They said "that's the way it's done around here". I don't go to those restaurants anymore, but if I did, I would definitely pay with cash because how much I tip should be my business and they shouldn't assume anything from the get-go.

  4. Cass will hopefully be working on our sea day today but it's hockey playoffs tonight so I'll be heavily intoxicated, screaming at my tv :D.

    LET'S GO HAWKS!!!

LOL Chris!! Of course since I live in MN, ppl think I would/should be pulling for the Wild. I'm an AVS fan through and through, and after the game this past weekend, I wasn't a happy camper. Then I heard they fired Sacco (shortly after the end of that game where the AVS were ROBBED of a goal... damn blind zebras!)... so I guess I'm at a loss as who to root for in this series!! <sigh>

Can't wait to read more... but for now, I'm grabbing a beer and hanging onto the remote waiting for the game to start!!! ;)

  5. I've been to both, and personally I would lean towards Nachi. Mr. Sanchos just didn't "do it" for me. They seemed very standoffish and not very friendly, though many people love it there. Both included all drinks, food was extra. If you get there early enough you'll get a prime lounger, but there seemed to be plenty available elsewhere.

    Have a great time!!!

  6. Just an FYI on the Early Bird thing with Southwest... they upped the price from $10 per leg to $12.50 recently. I'm not sure exactly when the change went into effect as I booked each leg of my upcoming trip separately, months apart. The first leg (purchased Aug, 2012) I paid $10 for EB, second leg (purchased 2-23-13) it was $12.50.

Honestly, I think I really only benefit from the EB on the flight home, since it would require getting online on the ship or racking up cell/data charges to check in at the 24 hour mark. With EB, they check in for me.

    Just a heads up.... :)

  7. Here's a little bit more info... good luck!! :)
