That has been our experience. Sometimes on the bed, sometimes at the repeater's party, sometimes just handed to us, sometimes nothing requiring a call to C&A after the cruise.
We got our 1st block today on Navigator. But I called Guest Services who said they would contact Loyalty. It was on our bed this eve when we returned from dinner. I have read where it was mailed months later, or not at all,,,but some got them on the ship. I didn't want to wait and depend on RCCL.

I want to say that after our Navigator cruise from that port, we just walked out with our luggage and got in the taxi line and were in a taxi to the airport in no time.
Do you remember the cost? We are going to LGB.

My only experience with an Uber in San Pedro is that it took forever to get one. We ended up taking a taxi (which, upon hindsight, was an illegal unlicensed taxi).
How did that happen? Is there a way to tell a legit taxi?

We will need an Uber to the airport after the cruise. This is new to us. When do you reserve the Uber since we never really know what time we will be actually off the ship? Do we wait until we are out of the terminal?

Can I change a reservation to a different day without a change fee and keep the same price?

SAVE YOUR MONEY. Definitely not worth it no matter what the cost!!!!
We always thought that until our TA sent us to Chops last time....and we are hooked! So we have made reservations for our upcoming cruise. Can't wait!!

Our Chops price on Navigator in Feb. is "on sale" for $55.99 so your price is better!

This post is only to share an experience a family had while cruising. Real life still happens despite all of our planning and anticipating our trips of a lifetime. In December, a friend's 76 year old brother was on an RCCL snorkeling excursion in Curacao with his entire family-wife, kids, spouses, and grandkids. He decided to get out of the water and his grandson was with him. He sat down on a recliner. Within minutes, his grandson realized he wasn't responding to him. He was gone! I don't know any details of what happened after that. But I do know that RCCL took great care of the family, escorting them where they needed to go including the American Embassy. They flew the family home. The body was removed to the local morgue and placed in refrigeration. Here is the clincher---He died Dec. 20th and he was JUST embalmed in Curacao last week and JUST arrived to his home state 2 days ago!! The government down there completely closed for the holidays so nothing was done. Island time, I guess!!😬 His funeral is Saturday. The family is SO ready to get this over after agonizing for 3 weeks. That's understandable. What a nightmare to go through, especially since it was so unexpected!

This may be a stupid question, but how do the slot machines work if there is no lever or button? We were on Allure last August and decided to go to the casino since they have a separate non-smoking one. We were lost when we discovered we couldn't figure out how to work it. It had been a few years since we went into the casino and it had all changed. There was not a soul around to ask for help, so we just walked away. Cruising in Feb. and thought I would see if anyone can give us a general idea of how we access the machine. Thanks!

Cabo is a tender port. To get off the ship involves taking a tender ashore, so "that don't involve water" is not possible. My favorite excursion is the water taxi tour out to the Arch.
Puerto Vallarta has a lot of excursions, many of which involve tequila. My favorite excursion recently was a Tequila Tasting and Mayahuel Tour -- the Mayahuel Show was a Cirque type show based on Mexican folklore about the origin of tequila.
PV, many people just take a shuttle to the Malecon (downtown pedestrian area) and walk along the Bay, sightsee, shop, eat and drink.
Is the "water taxi tour" through the cruiseline or one they offer at the port?

Has anyone done a resort day pass in Cabo San Lucas? Looking for options to enjoy a day on the beach.

Saltwater Moms is the best and have been using a couple of years
Is it typical to tip the driver in addition to the transportation cost?

Yes, Galveston Saltwater Moms will pick you up from there. Just be sure to contact them ahead of time to get in a reservation. The other thing to mention is it is best to pay cash. They aren't set up for credit card payments (or at least they weren't) unless you want to send them payment thru a pay app. You can ask about payment when you make your reservation. Or you can Lyft to the port. There has been an issue sometimes with using Uber.
Is it expected to tip them in addition to the transportation cost?

When the wife and I specialty dine I leave $20.00. There, I said it.
But does anyone know if they even get to keep the cash tip? That may go into a pool as well like at some restaurants.

I always assumed the stewards kept them for their own cabins
We also left numerous cans of pop assuming the Room Steward was allowed to keep them.

I'm just going to put them with the rest of my luggage and not my carry on
Probably not a good idea. On one of our cruises. the person's luggage got DROPPED in the water by the port people! 😬 (RCCL gave her money to shop for clothes at Kmart in St. Thomas). 🤣

We are Diamond and get 2 "free" days of internet each. On our last cruise, I asked the staff Voom guru person if I can get credited the 2 days from the package I bought. He told me NO b/c I had gotten a discount rate by purchasing it pre-cruise! I have always wondered if he was telling me the truth or he just didn't want to be bothered b/c he was very busy. Has anyone had any experience with this issue?

Is anyone else having trouble printing luggage tags for this weekend cruises? Ours say "pending" and won't print yet.

We are on a B2B in May. Can anyone describe how they handle B2B cruisers? Covid test for 2nd week? Do they make you get totally off the ship? I know there used to be a special lunch-do they still do that? If you are staying in the same cabin, do they allow you to return to it before cabins are typically open?

If it's two different reservations then it wouldn't be one refund.
Anything in your cruise planner equal that amount?
No, everything we booked only comes to $275

Doubtful - companies aren't known for protectively taking less of your money. Otherwise Royals cwc wouldn't require you to call for the price adjustment. Unless you have a TA that might have done something - but 304 is higher than the diamond balcony discount.
Have you purchased anything on the cruise planner?
WE did, but the orders are still in tact. We will be on a B2B, so maybe that included both cruises?
-
I discovered that RCCL has refunded $304 to our credit card, but we had not changed anything in our reservation. However we have gone from Emerald to Diamond status since we made the original reservation pre-pandemic. Could this be an extra discount because of the status change?

Yeah that's what we got too on Navigator. What a disappointment!
